He is terrified of collars so he stays roaming free in our fenced in backyard that has woods as well as cleared space.

Arrival Story:
We had an AKC golden retriever who went in silent heat while we were on vacation- she met the neighborhood great pyrenese and we came home to a very pregnant golden gal! We kept Zak as a momento! He is my parents' dog.

Bio:
Several years ago, when Zak was well over 100 pounds, someone tried to break into our home. Zak went after the perpetrators, who ran over him. When they hit him it totalled their car, but were never caught. Our neighbor saw much of it and alerted us. We found Zak in the middle of the road, very bloody, and didn't think he'd survive. We'll turns out he was bleeding from the mouth due to some knocked out teeth. He had a shattered front leg which was in a cast for two months and we had to carry him. That is where he learned up and dance- we had to get him on his back legs to transport him. He now limps around for attention (10 years later) but sometimes with the wr0ng leg- if you tell him wrong leg, he immediately limps on the other one! He doesn't realize his size and is a total lap dog!
