Dumb Heart Medication

For crying out loud. I am of half a mind to turn my people into the doggie protection services!

My grandma left her heart meds lying around, and I thought they were little treats for little doggies, so of course I ate one. Well that little trick ended my butt in the stupid hospital yet AGAIN!

I HATE that place!

My heart rate was really low, and my mommy and daddy were very worried about me. Daddy took the next day off, and took me from the hospital over to my vet's where I stayed until noon. Daddy picked me up and we watched movies for the whole rest of the day. I wanted to sleep cause I was sooooo tired, but daddy kept buggin' me by checking my heart rate every half hour. How am I supposed to sleep when he has his hand on my chest all of the time?

Anyway, I came out of it alright. They aren't going to get rid of me THAT easy!

Beware doggies, so treats aren't treats at all!

Last Saturday I wanted to be with daddy up on the couch, so he bent down to pick me up. I don't know EXACTLY what happened because it happened so fast, but as daddy lifted me up higher and higher, I fell all the way down to the hard floor!

I screamed and screamed, and daddy picked me up again and looked me all over. In a second I found myself in the truck with mommy and daddy rushing to my vet. I stopped yelping, but I kept closing my eyes and I guess mommy thought I was trying to go to sleep because she kept telling me to wake up. Really though it just hurt.

My vet gave me an "IV", and a "cathater", and told mommy and daddy to take me to the Emergency Pet Hospital just down the road. Daddy was pretty upset, but I was actually feeling a little better and wanted to go home, but mommy and daddy said it would be best if I stayed at the hospital for a while.

After eight hours in my cage with that stupid "IV" thing, mommy and daddy came to get me. Everyone at the hospital was very nice, and they checked me out real well so that mommy and daddy would be certain that I was OK.

And I am OK. Just now I tell daddy to BE CAREFULL!

Oh, and if YOU have a Chihuahua, or any other little dog like me, be carefull too. We are very delicate, and a fall could kill us if we land wrong. We aren't cats afterall!

Daddy Took Me To Work With Him

I ate one of those tasty looking plastic clip thingies that keeps the wrapper around a loaf of bread closed. My tummy didn't like it, and I threw up in the middle of the night. Daddy is a light sleeper, so he woke up as soon as I got sick, and cleaned up the mess. (He cleaned me up too.)

The next morning I was still feeling sick, and I didn't want my breakfast. This always worries daddy because he says I am too little to not eat when I am supposed to, so he took me to work with him.

I got to stay in daddy's office, and meet a bunch of the people daddy works with, but I was a little scared because I still wasn't feeling too good, and there was always someone coming by to see me.

I spent the morning in daddy's lap, and after a while I was feeling better, and I ate all the food daddy brought for me. After a little while longer, daddy took me home. I was happy to go home because I was worried about Angel. He sat by the door and watched me a daddy leave, and I could tell he was wodering where I was going. When we got home, Angel was happy to see me, and we played for a little while until I decided to take a nap.

I like going places with daddy, and I had fun sitting in his lap watching him work, but I am glad I was only there for the morning, and I would rather stay home with Angel anyway!

Thanks, daddy for taking care of me when I am sick. You are the best daddy in the world!
