First off let me say that Dogster is the best place on the internet, paws down. Mom and I are humbled by the generosity of so many pups, kitties and their humans. When I was named Dog Of The Week on Tuesday, I didn't know what to expect. The outpouring was overwhelming. Stars, special gifts, rosettes, pictures, messages and many pup pal requests flooded my email all week!! They filled our hearts with love for our fellow Dogsters. Thank you so, so much!! For once in my life I was the one receiving the attention and not my big brother, Coty! BOL!! I am truly the luckiest pup on the planet.

Also, DOTW wasn't the only honor I received this week. I was Dogster Diary of the Day on Friday 5.18.12!! What a complete surprise it was to find that email in the box Friday morning. Did not expect it at all. Again, the presents and messages were so sweet and very generous of you all. I am feeling so lucky, I think Mom is going to go out and buy a lottery ticket. BOL! But first, before she does, she must rub my tummy for luck!! ;)

As my pal Rudy would say, "whad be da hecks"?? Diary of the day and dogster of the week all in the same week. I must be the luckiest pup in the world. I am DOTW, Diary of the day, I have totally awesome friends and a pretty girl who said Yes to being my Boss forever!! It doesn't get any better then this!! Mom said she is going to start rubbing my tummy for luck!! I am honored again that Dogster chose me as the Diary of the Day!! Thank you to those who are sending rosies, special gifts and stars. I will be sending out my thank yous for the Diary of the Day and DOTW once my DOTW reign is over!
Until then, thank you again my furiends!! You all are awesome!!

I just want to say that we are humbled by the generosity of the pups and kitties we call friends here on Dogster/Catster. The gifts, messages and even the picture from Cooper are all more then we ever expected!! As soon as my reign as DOTW is over I will thank you all!!

I am good, i don't need any eye medicine!! I went to the Vet last Friday and he sent Mom home with an eye wash, eye medicine and some artificial tears. My left eye is bone dry and the vet said I could go blind or even have to have the eye removed. I have been battling this issue for a long time, but Dr Mark said he is starting to notice some significant damage to my eyeball. So that is why we got the medicine!! He is hoping the medicine will help the eye to recover on its own.
You know what it is like to put eye medicine in a dog's eyes? More specifically, do you know what it is like to put eye medicine in my eyes?! It's a daily battle!!!! ;)
Eye wash and artificial tears should go in about 4 times a day it says and the eye medicine should go in twice a day. Mom is only successful ONCE a day so far ... BOL! It's a chore to say the least. Mom has been home since 3 and that is when she attempted to put medicine in my eyes. It's almost 7 and still no medicine. She keep putting a towel down to wash my eyes and i get up and move! BOL! She has done this about 10 times today ... she will keep trying because so far she has been successful, later at night when i am snoozing on the couch!!
Anyone know an easy way to get medicine in a pup's eyes without losing a finger ..... ?!?!?

OMD!!!!!!!! What a super pawtastic OMD woofday I had!! Best one ever!!!
First off let me thank all my dogster pals for their generosity. The rosies pictures and messages were sweet!! Thank you Hershey and Family, George and the Doghouse, Maxi, Odie and Ernie, Scooter, Trudy and Billy, Jewels, Star and Cisco kid, Hershey, Sophia Hope, Gomer and Family, The Boyzzz, Mr Duffy, Holly, Bailey and PDPC, Abbie, Toto and Charlie, Walker and Family, Duchess, Rocky and Lucy, Otto, Sophie and Sagwa, Coco Rose and Family, Mazy, Greta Grace and Family, Sandy and Family, Romeo, Beau, Tessa and Fitz, Buttercup, Jakie, Pippin, Merry and Shamus, Dusty, Iris, Ringo and Webster and Tinkerbell & Natasha!! Now, I also got a woofday party too!! I got to meet Dogsters Jewels and Star in the fur and it was a super pawtastic time!! We went to Riverside and played at the park .. I got a pawesome cake made by Miss Dianne at Pawsome Parties You should check her out if you live in the Sothern California area and want a woofday cake/party for your pup!! I also got presents, a birthday banner, party hats and lots and lots of great memories!! It was the best 7th woofday ever!!

Hi Friends!! I am back ... been without internet for over a week so I haven't been able to give you a pupdate on my progress. I am doing awesome. Took all my meds, got the drains out last Saturday and am barking and carrying on just like i always do! BOL! I am also picking on Coty ... good to be me again! BOL!! I go in this Wednesday Sept 7th to get my stitches out. I am excited to get them out so i get out to the beach and show off my scar. I think the chicks are gonna dig it! BOL!! I will definitely use it to my advantage. **wink**

Before I say anything let me start off by saying how much you all rock!! Power of the Paw is a remarkable thing!!
For those who don't know the story, let me fill you in. Monday morning mom went to take us out in the front yard to do our business like she does every single morning before she goes to work. We head out when mom spots a pit bull that had gotten out of its yard (not the first time, mind you). She tried to drag us in but the pit charged us anyway. Turned out there wasn't just one dog out of its yard, but another black and white pit bull had gotten out of its yard too. Mom tried to pull me in but it was too late she, or the other one, we are not sure who had already lock their jaws on me and i was stuck. Mom ran to the backyard to get the hose and came out spraying. One was lead away real quick by its owner (who won't claim responsibility because there were two dogs out there .. says may not have been hers). We are sure she witnessed her dog attacking me but she won't say and we can't prove it.
Anyway, mom walked me back inside and i was definitely in some sort of shock. Mom took my harness off and noticed i was upset when she did that. That is when she noticed the big gash in the side of my neck. I didn't want her to look or even touch it. So, she went to work and let me simmer down. By later that afternoon she noticed i was dripping. The wound was already showing signs of infection so off to the vet i went!!
When i got there, i was already running a fever. The vet didn't even have to take a long look at the area. He knew i needed something done and fast. So off to surgery i went. I had a laceration repair. Basically, they stitched the area, shaved it and then cut around the wound ... then restitched me and put in a couple drainage tubes so we could treat the area with some medicine. It was routine and i was allowed to go home with in a couple hours.
Pupdate, 8.25.11 I am doing great. The area looks good, clean and no sign of infection. Looks like the wound is starting to try and heal. I am becoming more aware of the area, trying to itch it and lick, but i can't reach it. I am up more and more alert. I left mom a little surprise on the floor when she got home from work this morning!! BOL!! That was a good thing because i hadn't pooped in a couple days!!
Basically i am on the mend and should be as good as new in a couple weeks!! YAY!!!

I dont know why trouble follows me, i am a perfect little angel!! BOL!!
Well, today is a beautiful Southern California day and momma takes us all out for our afternoon walk ... actually, our walks usually turn into a 3 ring circus with the 3 of us!! BOL!! Anyway, there was this dog barking under its fence at us and i kept darting over like i wanted to go and see him and bark back. Finally, i managed to get away and run straight for the fence and climb under it into someone elses backyard!! BOL!! The funny thing is, as i am cruising around this yard leaving my mark on every blade of grass, the big black dog is no where to be found. He was hiding in his house barking at me!! Some watch dog he is!! BOL!!! So i went over and barked some at him and then continued to mark up his yard and make it mine. All the while mom is on the other side of the fence flipping out!! BOL!! Screaming things, like profanities and stuff ... BOL!! She was really really mad .. finally she banged on the fence and told me to just stay there then!! BOL!! Well, i didnt want to stay there so i crawled back under the fence completely oblivious to what had just happened!! I was having fun ... BOL!!! Momma leashed me up and drug me sorry butt home!! BOL!!
You know what, i would do it again too!!!! BOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
