The vacuum cleaner, baths, having to move once situated for a nap, chewies getting stuck under a piece of furniture
Favorite Toy:
The big stuffed bear named "Squirrel", chewies
Favorite Food:
Cheese, green beans, canned cat food, oatmeal with buttah, Daddy's sandwich that was on the coffee table, Grandma's soup bones, and oh yeah, did I mention cheese?
Favorite Walk:
A jaunt over to Jack's place or anyplace where her mommy and daddy walk.
Arrival Story:
Sunshine's first family had to get rid of her because they lived in an apartment. So, I adopted her, but being a college student myself, I also lived in an apartment. My landlord's "No Pets" policy forced me to have to find another apt. with an acceptable rental policy for pets. I couldn't find a decent one, so I bought a house! Nyahh! That was 11 years ago. She'll be 13 in August.
Bio:
Sunshine is so funny and endearing! She cracks us up. At age 10 she finally decided to be a best friend with a Golden Retriever named Jack. She's the bravest soul I know, bouncing back from several mast cell tumor removal surgeries and several rounds of chemo. She had been "Franken-dog" with all her surgical stitches but she has recovered and now she's got more energy and a larger love for life than ever before. That's our Scooby-dog!
(Re: the last photo - we humanely trap, release and relocate groundhogs from our barn and Mr. Squirrel showed up in the cage one afternoon! No animals are ever harmed in our care, even the wild ones)
