Arrival Story:
I found Rooney at the city animal shelter. The adoption counselor told me he had been picked up as a stray and adopted out twice already before ending up in the shelter a third time. When they brought him into the visitation room, he ran up to me, jumped in my lap and said, "Okay, I'm ready to go home!" I promised him that he would never, ever have to go back to the shelter again.
