It's been a week....

I have been at my forever home for zactly 7 days now. My new mom asked my foster mom if I needed to have something added to my food to make me eat it. My foster mom sez I will eat when I am hungry & she thinks (hopes) it is just me missing her & getting adjusted.
I go to my get my heart snap next week, so please keep me in your thoughts that I am heartworm negative!

I went to my forever home 8/18/07

Hi every buddy. I went to my forever home on Saturday. My foster mom is still gonna keep my page for a while & will update is as she gets new info. Boxer slobbers to every one!

I gained 1 pound

I went to the vet today to get my oral treatment for my heart worms & they made me stand in one place on a rubber thingy & the skin people said I gained a pound. That puppy chow my foster mom has been feeding me must have worked!

I have a forever home

Those skin people & their kids came by again today. They took me on a walk & spent more time with me. I hear them say they will be back next Saturday to take me to their house. That is going to be my forever home!!!
I will miss my foster mom & dad & especially that monster dog Lucifer but I will be fine in my new home.

Well the people that came to see me last week showed up again last night! I heard the lady ask my foster mom about my oral treatment that I need for my heartworms then she said they will take me to their house then. They seem very very nice & I even like their skin kids. I was taking great notice of the little boy this time and was watching him out of the corners of my big brown eyes. They took some flashy things of me, my foster mom is always doing that, and I was wasn't scared at all. They are going to call me Layla.

A very nice family with 2 kids came to see me last night. They stayed & got aquainted with me for a long time. I seen my foster Mom give them my fav treats which they took turns giving them to me. Yum! I really like the lady and her daughter. I even warmed up after a while to the man and his boy. I am still shy of males, but the nice lady liked my face so much she was kissing me! My foster sister was a moose to them. She was jumping & wanting to play so much, cuz I still can't. They might want to offer me a forever home after I get my oral treatment in 3 more weeks, then I only have to be in a cage for 2 more weeks then retested & hopefully heartworm negative then. My foster Mom says this would be a good way for them to get used to having a dog since they haven't had one after they started their 2 legged family. If they don't work out my Foster Mom says I am more than welcome here. (My foster dad wants to keep me, but the mom says no.) She wants to get another foster for a deserving family to adopt. She says if she doesn't do it, who else will help our boxer babys in need? I have luved the time here with my foster family but am excited to go to my forever home. And they are close enough I can still visit!

After inital treatment

I am at my foster home now. I so wish to play with my foster sister but the 2 legged people say I can't. My foster mom keeps putting me in this crate thingy, something about I have to be very quiet n stuff. Duh, I am a boxer! I was rescued from an animal shelter about a month ago and I have been very bz since then. First I got a bath, shots n stuff, then the spay. I was dirty, skeered & very shy when I was picked up. Someone tried to use my head & shoulder as an ash tray. That is what my foster mom says & Dr Lynn didn't tell us otherwise. My foster mom is very vocal. She says she tells it like it is & makes me keep my head up high & kisses my pretty pink face all the time. She has even taken me to her offfice too! I usually lay down by under her desk cuz I am still kinda skeered of people. Mens especially I so like to play with my foster sister & wish to understand why I can't. My foster mom says we have to let the good ones go. I am a GREAT one and will be so missed by my foster family. But, they can remember me & work on the other boys n girls that need forever homes too.
Please think before you breed or buy when rescue animals die.
