Arrival Story:
We were driving down the highway and noticed him limping on the side of the road. On the way back from dropping off Daddy, I noticed he was still there and was on a very dangerous curve. I stopped and crossed the road to greet him and he instantly wagged his tail and walked toward me. I was hooked.. and then shocked. He was horribly emaciated and infested with worms and ticks, so we stopped at the vet and everyone there fell in love with him and tried to make him better. He came home with me that same day and was so grateful for our attention. He was too anemic and weak to even lift his head or walk very far, but he always found the strength to wag his tail when we walked in the room. We loved him instantly.

Bio:
Boomer always loved sitting with us on our backyard steps late at night and listening to the crickets. He also loved to watch tv with us and snuggle next to Gypsy while she licked his ears. They were peas in a pod. We only had him in our lives for two weeks, but we felt like we'd known him for a lifetime. Unfortunately, he was so emaciated and sick that his body just got tired of fighting back and he couldn't seem to gain any weight or get better. We had to give him over to the Rainbow Bridge on August 7th, 2004. We love you, Boomer and we'll miss you always. xoxo
