Sick and excited Kennedy

I was making a little coughy noise and being sick to my tummy so mommy took me to the vet. He said I had a temperature and then he stuck a giant needle in me!!! I YELPED AND CRIED :( Now I get to eat peanut butter twice a day with a little yellow thing in it. I have a throat infection and swallowing the infected mucus is making my tummy hurt.

On Friday I am moving to Canada. Mommy said I will stay there with grandma and grandpa for a week until she is done all her school stuff. She said that this way she can get home whenever she is done- even without a car- they won't let me ride a train or bus and it's expensive to take me on an airplane (and I'm too big to be in the cabin). I have to spend 9 hours in the car- then I get to run around on a farm (still live inside though)

I get to meet my Aunt Sasha- she is a cocker spaniel and I have been told she is mean and doesn't like other doggies. My new life gets wierder and wierder. It'll be interesting to be a yankie dog in Canada.

Two months with a mommy :)

So I've been living with my new mommy for two months and I finally feel at home. I bark now and I don't have to be afraid anymore (my last owner was mean). Sometimes I am still a little nervous- I always have to chew on something and try to chew on mommy's hand sometimes. But she just takes her hand out of my mouth, tells me 'no', pets my ears and tries to calm me down. I have made so many puppy and people friends in my new neighbourhood. My neighbours have a westie and an 8-month old- I like to give her kisses. Everyone on dogster has been super-nice too:) If any puppies have any extra dog-food they can send it my way- mommy loves me but she doesn't seem to understand that when I whine I want more food- she only gives me 1/4 cup more a day then it says on my food bag. I want at least 2 more cups a day- but she just won't cave.

No more problems at the dog park- except now I scared a little puppy who was there. I didn't know what to do- he just kept running back to his mommy with his tail between his legs- I wasn't barking or growling or anything- just chasing (and that's FUN).

July 22 2007- Doggy Park Problems

My mommy doesn't know what is wrong with people in this town. We went to the Doggy Park last week and I met a little girl puppy who I REALLY liked. My mommy found out from the owner that she was 'in heat'- whatever that means. We played under the picnic table- it was a good thing mommy had me 'fixed' or there would be a bunch of little Kennedy's running around soon.

She took me again today and there are two separate areas with a fence between that you can open and close. There were 3 dogs on the other side and I wanted to play with them. Mommy kept telling me that the way they were growling and barking meant they didn't want to play- but I didn't understand. One of the dogs was nice so she came over and played with me. But her brothers got mad. Next thing I knew they both came UNDER the fence and ran at me growling and barking.One of them was a 75lb pit mix and the other was about 35lb. They were trying to bite me but mommy came over screaming and pulled them off. I was okay- not a scratch on me. Once they were behind the fence again I still wanted to play and be friends.

Why do big doggies want to eat me sometimes instead of being my friend? I don't think I taste as good as garbage or anything.
