Yesterday was also pawsome because mom finally took us on our daily walk, we didn't get one on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or even Monday! *GASP* But mom said it was nice out and she was feeling good again so after sniffing around dogster for a bit and mom giving Josh a haircut with the clippers for about an hour she told us to "Go get the leashes" and boy we did! We grabbed them and ran to the door before mom could blink, and after ten minutes of us dancing around in excitement & mom trying to clip on the leashes mom opened the door leading to the garage and quickly grabbed two "poop bags" before we dragged her out of the garage only to stop a minute later to pee on a bush that we have marked on about 1,0009 times just this month. Mom finally pulled us away from the bush & and we headed out, at the top of the street mom decided that since we had the honor of being diary of the day that we would celebrate by going down to the elementary school and run around in the soccer field for a bit.
When we got down to the school the first thing Josh did as soon as our paws hit the grass was leave a nice stinky present for everyone. But mom was just happy that she actually remembered her handy dandy baggie! So while she picked up the stinky mess we about made her fall head first into it when we found a patch of grass we just had to pee on but it was just out of our reach. After throwing away the poo mom let out leashes slack and we went on a sniffing a peeing spree. After almost an hour of sniffing, peeing, and being adored by 4th grade to 6th grade kids petting us and repeatedly saying "awww your so cute!" "Oh my gosh they are so adorable" and so and so forth we made our way home. At home mom gave us a big bowl of water that we lapped up in seconds, and we took a nice long nap. All & all it was a perfect day!
Well mom saved the day today, kinda. A few hours ago Joshy was hanging out in the yard helping thelori with the backyard and Murph was sitting by mom while she was the computer. Everything was calm and then thelori called mama outside and told her to hurry, so mom put down the computer and Murph followed behind but had to stay inside because he isn't the best off leash. Mom was greeted by thelori and out neighbor Clark who asked her if that was Shelby (one of our other neighbor's dog, a female shetland sheepdog who is about 8 or so)as they pointed to the top of the culd-e-sac. Mom didn't see anything at first so she jogged up to the street and still nothing, then thelori told her that they last saw the dog sniffing around a tree on mom's left side. She jogged down the street and finally got a glimpse of a fluffy sheltie bootie, so mom yelled "Shelby! Come here girl" but the pup kept on walking on she was a dog on a mission!! Mom got a bit closer and called out again "Shelbs! Wana go on a walk? Come on girlie!" and finally Shelby turned around and mom was happy to see her sweet face. Mom ggot down on her knees and said "Come here Shelbs!" and she came running! When mom first moved in she used to walk Shelby a lot and hung out with her, so they go way back. Mom met up with her, and she was nearly out of breath because well lets just say mom isn't used to all this jogging, and picked up the fluffy girl only to be greeted with kisses. And she carried Shelby to her home, and her mama was very happy and was almost in tears because Shelby has never done anything like this and her mom said that it would be her worst nightmare if Shelby went missing of got hit by a car. Mom gave Mrs. Shelby a hug and left. Joshy was waiting at the very end of the driveway in a nice sit/stay and Murph was barking at the door, we gave her a good sniff down and gave her our smelly milk bone kisses.
Well gotta go
Da Boys
Hey pals hows it going? We have been good, though we are giving mom a hard time because she didn't take us on our daily walk yesterday because she was "tired" and "didn't feel good" cha moms! And then we didn't get our daily walk today because she was to busy!! So we have been giving her a hard time, but not to bad because we only started our daily 40minute walks about a week ago.
Oh also here is an update on our missing friends, remember to spread the word and keep an eye out especially you Kansas pups!! We will let mom do this part:
"I went to the shelter to volunteer today and learned both dogs did gomissing from their adoptive homes. Lance had been adopted a while ago, Jess only a few months ago. Lance jumped a fence & Jess went through a screen door, and I also know Jess has been missing for a few weeks now:( and not sure about Lance.
