Arrival Story:
In Dec. 2002, I got a call to foster an elder GSD gal. She was getting depressed @ the no-kill shelter. We mainly focused on hi-kill, gassing pounds for our foster dogs but the shelter said she quit eating. She was a stray that was saved. We had an extra space open so we went to get her. Well, Duffee was the biggest, fluffiest GSD I'd seen in a long time. She had beautiful lines & the sweetest temperment. She HAD to be somebody's pet but no one ever came looking for her. Was she dumped because she was getting old? Our heart broke at that idea. She was better behaved that my own GSDs. When we took her in we knew she may never be adopted because of her age - GRRrr but that was just fine with us. We did get lots of interest in her but we knew she had to have the most perfect home. She was 1 of 5 dogs at home when I had our son. Duffee was always so kind & gentle & never gave any of the dogs or cats a problem. The perfect home finally came along in July 2005. Duffee now lives in KY with a wonderful older couple. We miss Duffee so very much. ((( HUGS )))

Dog fighting MUST END

Hi All,
2 petitions to pass on & sign. Please post them on your myspace, blogs, web pages, etc. We MUST put pressure in the NFL, Nike et al that are "waiting for Vick's day in court". This is nonsense.

#1-Please tell the NFL to take a stand against animal abuse.
Michael Vick has been indicted on dogfighting charges after 70
dogs and paraphernalia used in dogfighting were found on his
Virginia property.
