Arrival Story:
So after waiting for three whole months of my life. My mommy found me with the caring people at Puppy Love Pet Rescue. She was looking for a special dog to save and how could she not take a cutie like me home. My first night I missed my two brothers but she stayed with me all night long and gave me my white teddy bear.

Bio:
So my mommy called me the laziest puppy in existence. I was a loafer. I wouldn't even run after toys. I didn't see the point I would get there eventually and the toy would still be there. The only time she saw me run was when I played with other doggies. She even had trouble leash training me because when I would pull and she would stop I would just decide to lie down and take a nap. It wasn't until after my final round of vaccinations I began running around every day. That's because it is when my daily trips to the dog park near my house started. I met all sorts of nice doggies. Big ones and small ones and I still like all of them. One of my favorite playmates was in my puppy obedience class (which I passed with flying colors mind you. I mean I knew 5 tricks by four months and now know nearly 20 including knowing my left paw from my right paw even though mommy sometimes has trouble with her right and left) . My playmate was a little black Pomeranian puppy named Chloe. She was about the size of my head. I would just lay down on my side and let her pounce on my face. I like playing with small dogs and am gentle, but get really excited when I first see them sometimes and scare them because I am so big. I also love wrestling with the big dogs too. A great dane was one of my close friends when I was only 5 months old and wasn't very big. I just love dogs of all sizes. That is why mommy is contemplating getting me a permanent playmate. I am always happier when there is another dog around to romp with. I am also a big scaredy pup. My first week at home I was scared of the dark and wouldn't want to go outside when it was night unless the outside lights were turned on. I also wouldn't go in any room that the lights were off in. I was scared of plastic bags and anything that fell too. (And don't tell but sometimes I am scared of the moon. Every time I look at it, it is following me. I tried to get away once but I just couldn't.) When I got to around 8 months I finally started to play with toys and run around the backyard chasing the birds, voles, squirrels and chipmunks. I am not much of a hunter though. I tend to stand there looking at the little fella for a while then as soon as it starts to run I bound after it. They are out of the yard before I am anywhere near them most of the time. My first Easter was great. I had my first egg hunt. Mommy filled those plastic eggs with food and treats and hid them all over and I had to hunt them down. I wasn't very good at initially but caught on really fast and learned to find the eggs and pop them open to eat the food in no time. It is still one of my favorite games. In September 2006 I had my first trip to the shore. I loove digging in the sand!!! I am not big on water though so I only play sand piper with the waves running in and pouncing them when they recede and running away when a new wave comes in. A few days after the shore I had my first birthday. I had special home-baked treats and a cake all my own. Mommy made a rawhide candle and wrote my nickname in doggie toothpaste- poultry flavor -my favorite. I got a new teddy bear because my little one was too small for me to hug when I go to sleep. So I got Manny- and it was love at first sight. I suckled him as soon as I unwrapped him. As for my other gifts they were ok, but like all children I liked unwrapping them and playing with the wrapping materials more than the gift itself. In October 2006 I had my first Halloween at my new home. I was Dr.Odysseus MD... an ER doctor and my mommy was my nurse. It was great fun sitting at the door as all the new people came and knocked on our door. I almost like new people as much as I like other dogs. I had a busy first year at my new home.... and a fun one but I think I am going to go take a nap now... I still am quite a loafer after all.

My Odyssey

10 Things I have learned this Blizzard

1. When the snow is piled 2 feet up against the door it is best to let your pawrent go first even if it is just on this occasion.

2. Don’t throw snow against the wind. It will just come back and bite you in the face.

3. When looking to do your business low spots make the best spots.

4. Nothing makes your boring yard more interesting than a snow storm. Suddenly it is like you are a pirate in search of hidden treasures.(namely all the sticks and toys you left out there before the storm)

5. Digging your own igloo is a lot of work. My recommendation: subcontract some huskies to help with the labor!

6. Zoomies are always better when you fling snow everywhere.

7. Plows are a shovelers worst enemy but a car’s best friend. Not that I care frankly cars are an abomination against nature and should be stopped. Maybe I should start a down with plows campaign.

8. The snow is lower on the other side of the street. (Well at least for us. Man those drifts were amazing and our house was perfect to have all of them right on our walkways. BOL)

9. Do a kind deed for your neighbors. When a blizzard is coming park your cars in the drive to provide a place for all the snow to drift against protecting their yard.

10. Nothing is better than a snow nap. You know the one after running and bounding through the yard then coming in and curling up on your nice warm bed.

Snow... snow and more snow

I just had to take a sec and say wow that is a lot of snow. I mean I loooove snow but it is over my head and I am no short pup. Mommy had to take a break from studying this morning just to dig a path for me in the back yard to be able to.... well.... you know. It is beautiful and amazing!! I love playing and tried to pounce the snow as it flew off of mom's shovel. Of course only problem is there is so much I am not quite sure what to do. Check out my video to see what I mean...BOL!
