Arrival Story:
It all started out one morning when I went to take my mother to the pet store so she could buy some turtle and bird food. And the WHOOOOOLE way there I was telling her about how much I wanted a small dog..like maybe a chihuahua or something. So here I am talking ON AND ON about it and we walk in and as we do I notice a homeless man outside the shop with the most adorable dog I'd EVER seen. So she got what she had come to get and we started heading out. As we were walking out the homeless man started SHOUTING " LITTLE DOG FOR SAAAAAALLLEEEE" and I was like hm.......I started wondering. I turned back around and I went up to the man and he IMMEDIATELY started saying "hey hey u want this dog????? u want it? what do you got?" I was just simply amazed as to how a dog could be so cute and look like it was just full of so much thought. I tried to pet her and she growled at me ofcourse. I didn't expect it but who could blame her. God only knows what she went through. So I looked at her, looked at the guy holding her and asked "how much you looking to sell her for?" I definately wasn't surprised when he said "anything you got" SO I handed him a 20 dollar bill and he NOTHING short from SNATCHED it from me and practically shoved the leash in my face. Heh. So, my mom looked at me like I was crazy and I just said "It's my lucky day". I went back in the pet shop and bought her a new leash/collar/bowls/bed/food/treats etc. And started walking home with her. She was scared none the less and probably didn't know what was going on. But now, she's doing great! :) I've had her for 5 years and counting. Her names Nikki and she's healthy and happy. She's sweet energetic and has some social problems with humans but we're working on it. I guess that's what came out of her incomplete life before. I love her TO DEATH! and would do anything for her. She makes my life complete. :D
