Arrival Story:
Nina was owned by a Chihuahua Breeder who is also a good friend of mine. Nina had her first (and last ) litter of puppies at the end of May 2007. Her labor was long and unsuccessful so she had to have a C-section. Because Nina had such a difficult time my friend had her spayed at the same time. Well a few weeks later we were talking about long haired Chihuahuas versus short hair. We both prefer the long coat, but in an e-mail I said I would still steal Nina in a heartbeat short coat and all. Well a few minutes later my phone rings and it is my friend asking if I'd would like to be Nina's new forever Mommy. You can only imagine my surprise and then excitement. From the first day I met Nina I adored her. I had joked on numerous occasions that I was going to put her in my purse and skip town. After a day of deliberation my husband agreed but only if I promised NO MORE PETS!!! So Nina came to live with us on July the 13th 2007. After just a few days she is already fitting in perfectly.
