Arrival Story:
The story talks about Bella but in fact this story is about Bello. We got Bello thinking that it was a female. We love him the same - female or male. On our way to see the Harry Potter movie we stopped at the pet store in the Mall . There were many beautiful puppies but only one caught our attention. We asked to hold her (oopps him) and it was love at first sight. Not sure if we wanted to commit to having a dog we put a deposit to hold her for a day. That night I couldn't sleep, just dreaming of Bella. On Sunday, July 15th, we picked Bella as soon as the pet store opened and she is just wonderful. I am so glad we got her! (eh him).

Howdy pals,

It has been a long time since I wrote in my diary. Soooorrry. Let me think ... oh yes, it was since I had my ACL surgery. Well, I’m okay... I can jump! Woof woof. Life is great! Of course, mom is always saying not to jump too high that I’m gonna get hurt. Silly mom. You know how moms are. Dad keeps telling her to let me run that I’m okay, but she always worry. Mom, don’t worry, I won’t get hurt, I know how to jump. I promise.

It was a nice summer and it has been a super woof , super, super fall. I have the chance to play and be more often with my cousins (well...nephew and niece), Hudson and Gamgi. They are visiting us more than before and I love it. I love when they stay over for a week or two. Gamgi is big but it is very nice and likes to play a lot... I try to play with her but I am a bit afraid of playing with big dogs because of that nasty dog Charlie. Gamgi, I will get over. I hope I do. Hudson is a tiny little one but all he does is play. He does not care if Gamgi is at least 10 times his size, he plays with her and plays with me the same.

We take long walks. I love those long walks. Gamgi usually goes ahead of us and Hudson and I just follow her. We don’t mind. We also went to day camp. Woof woof woof… did we have fun? I told mom that she must take me/us to doggie day camp more often I hope she does.

Today my parents told me that we are going on vacation and that we are taking Hudson with us. Oh…woof woof woof…. I was jumping up and down when I heard the news. Gamgi did not mind because she was going back home and she loves going home too. Hudson was happy because he is coming with me but he is missing Gamgi. I told Hudson that she will be okay. I told Gamgi that I will take care of Hudson. We’ll take lots of pictures and bring Gamgi a present.

I miss Gamgi :-( I wish we could bring her with us. Maybe next time!

Okay pals ... I gotta go. Hudson is waiting for me... we are playing.

Woof woof.

Howdy pals,

Are you one of those doggies that like to jump from couch to chair, from chair to couch, back to floor and then to bed? I was one of them too but those days are over for me :-(. Well, at least for now. I'm wooftimistic!

The other day I got very excited when Charlie, the evil dog of the neighborhood, passed by my house. So what do I do? What I do best... protect my house. I was barking to get him away from my house and... YES, I had to jump from couch to chair and ran to the bedroom ... When OUCH... dunno what happened but my right leg did not feel the same. OH NO... I could not use it. What do I tell my mommy? She was just telling me not to jump.

I tried to keep it from mommy but she came looking for me and saw the way I was walking. My mommy called the doctor right away and rushed me to the animal hospital. Of course, she called my daddy to tell him that I hurt myself while I was jumping.

I did not think it was a big deal BUT when we got to the doctor things did not look good. The doctor said I needed x-rays and that they were going to sedate me for that. They were using words that I never heard. All I know is that I was in pain and I did not like the worry look on my mommy’s face. We got more bad news after the x-rays. I heard that I needed surgery because I torn my ACL, whatever that is.

Mommy and daddy told me that the surgery was going to make me feel better. I stayed at the hospital one night and on Saturday mommy and daddy picked me up. They put a PINK bandage. I was soooooooooo embarrassed. Thank Woofness they removed that pink bandage on Sunday. I have pictures to show you… maybe not. Ouch… I have STAPLES on my knee and I STILL don’t feel good.

The only good part of this is that I get ALL my mommy and daddy’s attention, more than before - imagine that. I got some get-well cards too and even a few presents. ohhhh and Mommy brings me water and food to my bed too. But I wanna run and wanna walk like before... maybe next month.

I'm tired. Daddy just gave me some medicine that makes the pain go away but makes me sleepy. Until next time.

To all of you... be careful when you jump.

Doggy day camp and spring vacation 2010

Howdy pals,

I''m back... We have been sooooooooooo busy that I have not had a chance to write anything at all. But here I am, writing again. Okay, okay... so I don't know how to type, mom does it for me but I tell her what to write. You don't believe me? You can ask my mom and dad and my sisters and brothers and my aunties and everyone in my family. They would all tell you that I can communicate with them and that I understand anything they tell me. Woof woof...

Okay so let's see... what was it that I wanted to tell you? Oh... a lot of things, let's see how much I remember...

Mimi is doing great. Remember Mimi? I wrote about her in my last entry. She is my grandma.

I went to doggy day camp to 3 different places. The first time was near our home at the same place where I graduated from school. I loved it! Then we went on vacation to Calabash (more of my vacation later) and I went to two different doggy day camps while my parents went to do other things where I was not allowed. Why is it that there are places that do not like dogs? I don't get it.

Our vacation was WOOFRRIFIC (terrific in doggie language), as always. I love Calabash. This time we not only went for walks on the beach but we spent an entire afternoon there. I ABSOLUTELY loved it. I am convinced that I am a DOGGIE BEACH BOY. I sat there next to mom and dad and just watched people and doggies go by. The breeze was beautiful. My mom, of course, made sure that I was not too exposed to the sun. Leave it to mom :-). We did a lot of things ... Guess what dad bought for me.... come on... take a WILD WOLF guess. Do you give up? My dad bought me a doggie screen door so I can go in and out to the balcony and see the golfers go by. At first I did not know what to do. It looked too small for me, but once you get used it...it is a LOT of fun and I mastered going in and out.

We drove back home from Calabash and stopped in NY to see Richie, Rachel and Danielle. Richie surprised us with another doggie, Hudson York. He is small and friendly and, of course, Gamgi was there. I like them both. We played a little but I was a bit tired from the trip and did not really wanted to play much. But then I saw A CAT. Imagine that! Of course, you know what I did... yes, exactly. I still have an image of that big cat and have dreams of chasing him ... :-).

That's all folks. Till next time
