Mom brought home this fantastic book today, the Dangerous Book for Dogs, by Rex & Sparky. Here is a selection from the back cover:
"Isn't there more to being a dog than wearing a mini cashmere sweater and riding around in a $400 evening clutch? What about the simple pleasures -- feeling the wind in your fur, digging up the grass beneath your paws, smelling another dog's butt?
The Dangerous Book for Dogs provides insight on everything from the tastiest styles of shoes to chew on to escaping humiliating costumes. It also contains portraits of noble dogs throughout history, unravels the mysteries of cats and humans, and explains everything else a dog ever wanted to know but was afraid to ask."
(Rex and Sparky write with the assistance of Joe Garden, Janet Ginsburg, Chris Pauls, Anita Serwacki and Scott Sherman - whoever they are!)
One of our Schnauzers Rule pals recommended the book and Mom has already started reading to me. There are chapters on Things You Can Chase, A Connoisseur's Guide to Shoes (the Vera Wang crystal accented slingbacks come highly recommended), Escaping Fenced-in Areas, How to Pick a Pill Out of Peanut Butter, and Foul Smells Every Dog Should Roll In. There are even chapters on How to Ruin the Perfect Dinner Party and How to Train a New Human. I can't wait to get to those!
