Mom's so lazy it's unbelievable.....>____>
Anyway, so, I promised to keep you updated on the heartworms, and I have some great news! ^^

Most of you know that Mom went to camp a week ago, but what you DIDN'T know is that the day she left, her mom took me to the vet. ^^

So, when Mom came home, her mom told me that they found out I was heartworm free!!! :D

I'll be going on my preventative soon. ^^ Not sure exactly how soon, but soon. xD

Just had to let you know!! :D

It's official

Well, Mom's mom called the vet today and I'm going at 9:00 AM next Monday.

Mom's kinda worried now, since her mom said "You know you're making this decision, and she might not make it through it." Mom just thought it could get bad if I got too worked up. :/ So she's not quite so sure now, but we're going through with it and she's going to be postive that I'll make it through. She couldn't get along without me.

I'll keep you updated once anything happens.

Pray for me, pawlease.

Some Not-So-Good News

Well, Mama took me and Jaxon to the vet today, for our regular shots and heartworms testing. Luckily, Jaxon doesn't have heartworms, but I tested positive.

Jaxon has already started his treatment today. He will have this Advantage stuff for almost every kind of worm, except for one, I think, and even fleas, and he will be getting it every 21st of each month from now on.

On to me.

The vet said that I could be treated, but it would take a while. Pawlease forgive me for the little information I have, Mama's told me this, and she has a bad memory.

We've started chaining me up in the front yard, instead of loose in the backyard fence, to get me used to it, because I'll be there for a while. I'll have to stay for two nights at the vet clinic, (Not sure when yet, but soon enough.), and come home on the third day. Then, I won't be able to do much. The most exercise I can have is basically a walk on a lead, and that's about it. If I do get worked up, then the (dead and decomposing) worms could get pushed up into my lungs. I'm not sure exactly what happens then, but the vet said it'd be hard to save me if they got in my lungs.

So, yeah, just wanted to let you know. Mom's sure that I'll be okay, though. She's a pretty optimistic person. Plus, she knows she can't live without me, I've helped her through too much. < /3

Pawlease pray that everything goes well.

IT'S THANKSGIVING TAG!!!!

I was tagged by Spice!

Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.

Seven Things I’m Thankful For:
1. I'm thankful for my mom, who loves me to death.
2. I'm thankful for my old foster home, who made sure that I didn't go to the shelter.
3. I'm thankful for food!!! (Obvious reasons. XD)
4. I'm thankful for my lovely Dogster pals.
5. I'm thankful for all the toys Mom gets me.
6. I'm thankful for my little brother Jaxon, whom I'll always love.
7. I'm thankful for THE OUTSIDERS!!!!!!!!!! (XDDD)

Dear Dogster Pals,
This is a very important diary entry, a dear friend of ours is missing and a lot of us have banded together to bring him home.
Can you imagine for one second if this was you? How would your Mom feel? How you would feel? Imagine either being cold, hungry and alone or with strangers wondering where your true family is.
Blue has been missing now for 6 mo. but we haven't, and will not, give up hope.
We believe in our hearts that someone has Blue and may not know where he belongs, or may just want to keep him. He is a very handsome and talented boy. I have included some basic info and some helpful links, if you have any info about Blue or can pass any of this info along feel free to do so.

Blue, a black and white Siberian Husky (4 year old male, brown eyes, microchipped) has been missing since May 8, 2007 from Brighton, MI.

BEING LOST -- FROM A DOG'S PERSPECTIVE

The gate was left open
one bright sunny day
So I thought I would go,
explore, run, and play.

Seeing new things,
this is such fun!
But where do I go,
now that I’m done?

Was it back this way,
or maybe that
Where is my home?
I want to go back.

I have on my collar,
it’s red, white and blue
But, I don’t have my tags
to give someone a clue.

A man comes and gets me,
puts me in his truck
He’s taking me home,
Oh, what luck!

Wait a minute,
this isn’t my home
I’m stuck in a cage,
scared and alone.

People come see me,
so I wag my tail
I love the attention
I get in this jail.

The food is okay,
and the bed is too
But I really miss home,
yet what can I do?

I miss my yard,
my bed, and my ball
But, I miss my master
the most of all.

Where is my master?
It must have been weeks
I know he will come.
He really loves me.

Then someone takes me
down a long hall
I’m confused and uncertain,
I stare at the wall.

I feel a prick,
things start to go dark
I think of my master
and me in the park.

I’m going to sleep now
with him on my mind
Little do I know,
my fate has been signed.

I pray when I wake,
he will be there
Holding me close,
stroking my hair.

I’m sorry I strayed,
who knew the cost?
But it doesn’t have to happen
when dogs get lost.

This poem is dedicated to the "stray" animals that do not get reclaimed.

Also want to add that Blue is DOTW!!! HELP BLUE GET HOME!!!!

My beautiful Misty girl, my precious.

Misty, I had always hoped for a dog that would change my life for the better. You've done that. Maybe not exactly the way I imagined it, but I can't imagine life without you. The tears you've dried, the hearts you've mended, the lives you've touched. Everyone loves you. You and Jaxon are a team. While you understand me and are always there to play rough, or relax, Jaxon's always trying to make me happy. You guys are my angels sent from Heaven. Everywhere we go, people stop and stare, because of you. ♥ (Okay, and your little bro. ;) ) They love your beautiful face, your beautiful eyes, and your charming personality. I'm so proud to call you mine. You may be dog aggressive, but you love all people, and you love so much. Such a big heart. I remember I was SO upset when Prancer died. You licked my tears away, and made me feel better. I played with you and the seniors almost every day up until we finally got Pup-Pup, because I knew I wouldn't be able to spend as much time with you, and I wanted to live it up while we could. You remember those all-day play sessions? We had so much fun.

I still remember when we went to get you. You were so, so thin, but I immediately fell in love. You were my dog from the start. I remember trying to coax you out of your house. I remember how exited I was to FINALLY have a husky. Misty, you are truly a blessing to me. If you had any idea what you mean to me...

I love it when your big, blue eyes stare up at me with love. I love it when we play together. I love seeing you and your little brother give each other kisses. Most of all, I love YOU. My precious husky mix!! ♥

I could go on and on about you, my beautiful, but I guess I'll stop here. Long story short, Misty, you are a GREAT dog, and I am so proud thta you are MINE. I love you!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
