Video of me: I know, I know, it's bad quality, but it was taken on Mom's cell phone in the evening, so bear with us. xD
Best pals: Most of the friends are Jaxon's, but I got some buddies too. ;)
Fred the Beagle, Sadie the husky, Oliver the BC, Chester the Pom, Dixie the husky (mix), Ty the Pom, Spice the Aussie, Ashley the Golden, Sam the husky (mix), well, most of our friends are gonna be on Jaxon's page. ;) So check over there for our pals! :D
Well, Mom's mom called the vet today and I'm going at 9:00 AM next Monday.
Mom's kinda worried now, since her mom said "You know you're making this decision, and she might not make it through it." Mom just thought it could get bad if I got too worked up. :/ So she's not quite so sure now, but we're going through with it and she's going to be postive that I'll make it through. She couldn't get along without me.
Well, Mama took me and Jaxon to the vet today, for our regular shots and heartworms testing. Luckily, Jaxon doesn't have heartworms, but I tested positive.
Jaxon has already started his treatment today. He will have this Advantage stuff for almost every kind of worm, except for one, I think, and even fleas, and he will be getting it every 21st of each month from now on.
On to me.
The vet said that I could be treated, but it would take a while. Pawlease forgive me for the little information I have, Mama's told me this, and she has a bad memory.
We've started chaining me up in the front yard, instead of loose in the backyard fence, to get me used to it, because I'll be there for a while. I'll have to stay for two nights at the vet clinic, (Not sure when yet, but soon enough.), and come home on the third day. Then, I won't be able to do much. The most exercise I can have is basically a walk on a lead, and that's about it. If I do get worked up, then the (dead and decomposing) worms could get pushed up into my lungs. I'm not sure exactly what happens then, but the vet said it'd be hard to save me if they got in my lungs.
So, yeah, just wanted to let you know. Mom's sure that I'll be okay, though. She's a pretty optimistic person. Plus, she knows she can't live without me, I've helped her through too much. < /3
