Leave a bone for In Loving Memory of Daisy

Nicknames: Daiz, Daisy Mae

Quick Bio:
Likes: Daisy loved food ... cats ... people ... and a stuffed hedge hog. And, needless to say, her beloved, the Yorkie Lou. :-)

Pet-Peeves: Daisy *hated* loud noises, baths & combing, and being left behind for any reason

Favorite Toy: Daisy loved plush squeaky toys (especially her hedge hog)

Favorite Food: Daisy would eat and enjoy anything -- absolutely *anything*

Favorite Walk: She loved walks around "the 'hood."

Best Tricks: She used to love corralling the cats, and arranging her bedding "just so" -- which usually meant turning everything upside down and inside out

Arrival Story: Early in 2006, I learned that my beloved Daisy had Cushing's Disease ... on August 8, she went home to the Rainbow Bridge. Daisy was the greatest dog in the world -- sweet, smart, funny, clever, friendly, adorable.... There is a Daisy-shaped hole in the center of my heart, now ... I miss her as I would miss breathing. Rest in peace, my sweet little girl. Thank you for 12 years of beautiful, loyal, wonderful doggy-love. You are forever a part of my soul......
****** What follows is her original bio on dogster *******
Daisy had been thrown away (grrrrrrr!) by her first humans -- left to survive as best she could (tiny little thing that she was) on her own on the streets. Someone found her in the midst of a terrible thunderstorm, huddled up under a car in a parking lot, shaking like the proverbial leaf and scared out of her wits. They called the number on her tag an were told, "We don't want her. Keep her, if you do." (Double, triple Grrrrrrrrrrr!) Well, that person did keep her but ... while I think he was good to *her*, he wasn't a "good person" generally, and after she had lived with him for a month, he was arrested and sent to jail (!) and she was homeless again. She had lost homes *twice*, in less than 6 months of life ... poor little thing! This time, though, Fate brought her into *my* life, and it was love at first sight. She wriggled with happiness when we met and I wriggled with happiness right back. :-) I took her home to see how she would get along with my cats, and when everyone got along beautifully, she was in like Flynn from that moment on. Daisy is funny and adorable and smart and wonderful, and she is loved without reservation by everyone who knows her ... *especially* by her mama.

Forums Motto: If it hits the floor -- it's *mine*!
