Birthday: October 24th 2004 Likes: tug-o-war, fetch, frisbee Pet-Peeves: People who won't play with him when he wants to play. You better give him all your attention. Favorite Toy: Frisbees! Balls, anything he can tug on....anything that can be thrown so he can run and retrieve it Favorite Food: Nutro for sensitive stomachs. I like many human foods...like Kraft Singles, Bread and helping mom finish her apples (See the video) Favorite Walk: High Cliff State Park Best Tricks: Fetch, Sit, Stay, Shake (I say Shake...he'll lift his left paw, then I say other he lifts his right, I say other he lifts his left and so on. HE"S SO SMART!) Arrival Story: I was buying my first home and in order for it to be a real home I had to have a dog. I grew up with dogs and living in an apartment for 4 years without one was really hard. So as soon as I knew I was getting the house my best friend and I went to the Fox Valley Humane Association. We strolled back and forth looking thru the glass. Then my friend pointed out a dog named Kolbe. He just laying there all relaxed. I instantly fell in love with him. I requested to play with him for awhile. We immediately clicked. I applied to adopt him before I left. The following day I found out I was approved. I was so happy! I moved into my house on a Friday and by Tuesday he was home. He has been a joy ever since. I LOVE HIM! Bio: I'm not sure exactly what his birthday is but I adopted him on April 24th and the Humane Society said he was about two years old. When I brought him to the vet for the first time the vet said he was about three. So I'm compimising and going 6 months from the day I adopted him and that will be his birthday. Wow it's been a long time since I've written anything here. SO much to say and so little time. The most important thing I can say is that Mommy met my new Daddy and fell in love and they are getting married next year. They tell me when they buy a new house and have enough room they'll get me a playmate. I can't wait! Another thing I can't wait for is mommy is going to be on vacation in 8 days. We are going up to the cottage again! I'll believe it when I see and smell it. So yeah...I wish I could remember everything that has happened since I wrote last but there has been so much I just can't remember it all. I just wanted to let you know that I'm doing great and my Daddy and Mommy love me very much and play with me everyday.
Well it's been a week since we got home from Up North. Boy was that fun! Lots of walks...lots of running around. There was another dog right next door named Timber. He was a Border Collie. It was fun running around with him. Mom and the owner of Timber finally came to the conclusion that I'm part border collie. YAH! I like being Aussie and Border Collie. So this past weekend wasn't very exciting. On Friday when Mom got home she cut part of the lawn and we played for a little while. Then Saturday she cut the other part of the lawn and we played....but then we went in to relax. We were hoping to the go the dog park with mom's best human friend and her dogs but the friend never called. Oh well...someday we'll go. Sunday we didn't do anything! It was drizzling and raining all day! YUCK! But Mom said something to me yesterday that sparked my interest. Apparently Grandma and Grandpa are at High Cliff....for TWO WEEKS! Again I won't believe it until I see it. Mom said we are going to visit a few times in the next couple weeks. That will be fun. I'll keep my paws crossed that we go! Well I'm off to rest now cause Mom is getting in the shower. I always lay on her bed looking out the window while she's in there. Then she tells me I'm a Cootsie Pootsie. I'm not sure what that means but I think it means I'm cute.
Ok so when I woke mom up this morning she said that today was going to be her last day of work for the week and then we were going up north. She has started packing things so I think it's really happening. She even packed some of my toys! I'm getting a little more excited. Grandma came over yesterday and played with me and then Mom and I went over there last night to pick up a whole bunch of stuff. The trunk of mom's car is almost full. IT'S REALLY HAPPENING! WOOF WOOF I'M SO EXCITED! So if it's true and I am going up north then I won't be on Dogster for a few days. I know all you other dogs are so jealous that I'm going to be in the woods. All those trees! All those squirrels!!! Can I handle it? I think I can!
