Arrival Story:
I spent my whole life wanting a dog and thought the time had finally come. I thought I was looking for a beagle puppy until my friends called me to tell me to go to Petsmart ASAP. There with her sisters and brothers was a little fuzzball trying to sleep in the back of a crate. Everyone else thought the long-haired sibs were the cutest, but I knew right away which one was the one for me. Lucy is the smartest and best dog I ever could have asked for.

Bio:
Lucy protects her family and will always bark to let us know if anything's amiss, especially if that red, white and blue ghost starts flapping around outside the front door. Lucy's a hero too! One time she let us know when her sister Aly the Cat was in trouble outside and probably saved her life.

Looking for love

It's time for me to find a new family to protect and love. I think my house is getting too crowded. First mommy and daddy brought home a little sister for me to play with. They didn't realize I want to be alone! I do like cats though, not jumpy kittens, but nice big cats who will just leave me alone! Next my parents decided to have a baby. What were they thinking? I don't like loud noises and kids running around all over the place, I'm not sure how much I'm going to like the baby when she gets older. I really would love to live with a couple or single person without kids who would let me hang around the house all day and go for a nice walk too. I know mommy says I have something called fear aggression too, which means my new family has to be super patient and kind to me. I know there are lots of people like that out there, won't you take me home with you?

Beaches, Smeaches.

So this weekend we went to the "beach." I don't know why. It was ok, but the water tasted real funny. Good thing mommy brought some regular water for me. After sleeping outside one night I was ready to go home, but mommy and daddy didn't seem to get the hint when I sat by the car and wouldn't move. How much more obvious could it get?!
I did like one thing about the trip tho, something yummy called "jerk-ee!"

Rainy day

Today was no fun. After my daily 7 hour nap, mommy and daddy came home right on time, but when they told me to go in the backyard to, as they say, "get done," there was a wall of water out there! I wasn't going out in that! Finally mommy went out with me and my little sister, but we're not dumb, we stayed on the deck until she let us back in. Mommy seemed kinda upset and really wet too! Finally, just before bedtime, daddy took us out again and it wasn't raining as bad so we didn't mind so much. The best part is making cool footprints when we come back inside, but for some reason that makes mommy upset too! Some days a dog just can't win.
