Arrival Story:
We felt such a loss in our lives when Dakota died. We knew we'd get another Corgi, but didn't realize that we'd be so lucky as to find the perfect guy so soon! Our search started as a casual check on the interent for Corgi breeders. We discovered the wonderful people of North Texas Pembroke Welsh Corgi Fanciers and their fantastic Corgi rescue program. Once we saw "Peanut" on the website we fell in love! The main photo of Basil is the same photo we first saw. Isn't he adorable?! And, the best part, he's every bit as wonderful as he looks.

Bio:
We found that "Peanut" answered more readily to B-names, like Baby and Boy-oh and Bubba, so we've changed his name to Basil (after the British puppet Basil Brush- a silly red fox I knew from childhod). He's adjusted quickly and likes to be called Basil and Baz and even Bazzy-Wazzy. We've also chosen to celebrate Basil's birthday on July 1st - the day we brought him home.
