sleeping..... marrow bones, playing with the boomaster
thunderstorms and nails clipping, stubborness, Mommas laying on her bed... Buster laying on the bed she wants...does not matter that they are both the same type, size etc, She wants the one he is on and that is it.
Special feed with Petamins, people food
anywhere where it is not hot or along water
she has received many honors and medals...she is a service dog and hero...She just began speaking upon command for treats....
Hildie came to me after her original owner beat her breaking several ribs and fracturing her skull...At the time, she had no previous training as a service dog but took it upon herself when I went into a full blown grand mal seizure to knock the phone off the hook and bark until there was 911 called...From then on she was mine..She has travelled all the way from MA to AZ with her buddy Mommas ( the ferrel cat who adopted me and has become very tame)...and now she has a new playmate...Buster the boonificent bulldog.. She an Buster worked together to protect their other mom recently when a prowler came into our yard. He stood flanked on one side and then Hildie the other...Needless to say when the opportunity for the guy to run came, he was long gone before police arrived.
Hildie has recieved two hero medals for saving the lives of a gentleman having a heart attack, a women going into insulin shock, and has sensed more than 200 seizures almost 40 minutes in advance thus letting me take meds to possibly curtail them... She has had many trials but keeps on giving. In the past year she aided in finding a lost child, then found the person who had abducted the child... She has also begun to assist and brace for partner as well and alerts to her COPD issues. It was supposed to be time to retire Hildie within the past 6 months, but in the attempt to do so, she refused to eat, got extremely dehydrated. She was hospitalized, put on I.V. and then she came "home" where she is back to her normal self, just keeps on giving... Hildie's sister Somer passed a few weeks ago just after the new year 2009. Hildie also lost a very dear friend and playmate for years who was also a service dog...little "Bandito".
Both have gone to Rainbow Bridge....
All in the name of Duty and Love

Well we have a lot of changes in the house since I last wrote. It began with the loss of my best bud Buster last April and then Bindu soon after. I miss both of them each in their own way. In May, my two mom's went to visit a friend of theirs who had rescued a bunch of pups from a local shelter which had a parvo outbreak. Many of the pups passed within their first weeks with her but she still had multiple puppies. However, moms found Bhodi (known as Boots then) who had not eaten and was being fed through I.V. The day they arrived, he ate dog food for the first time. Not long after the woman who had rescued him and all the other pups, became quite ill. Mom's decided to assist them by taking Bhodi and also Shanti. At first I wanted nothing to do with either of them. I had just lost my best bud and I was injured trying to break up the fight in which he suffered causing his demise. I stopped eating and mom had to force feed me and now here were these two pups I was supposed to accept. I tolerated them for the first month and then something switched...little Shanti was so afraid of even her own shadow. I remembered feeling the same after my traumas as a pup so I took her under my wing. Bhodi followed soon after although I am not as close with him. I do not let him get out of line ever...If he is misbehaving I let the moms know. I will not let another unruly child destroy our home.
I do love them both but I must say that I am jealous of the two of them often as they are allowed to go out with the moms learning the role of service dogs. I am retired now and I am not happy but I have to accept it. As long as I go for my walks now and again I will be ok.

Both my sister Somer who was 12 1/2 years and my best friend Bandito from MA passed this week on to Rainbow Bridge. It is a very sad time for mom, Bandito's mom, Somer's mom and all those who were connected in any way to them. Mom cried for quite some time when she found out about Bandito and she shared with me about how my friend Hoaggie is having a tough time without Bandito. He has been carrying Bandito's food dish around the house and whines. I know that mom wishes she could be there and I wish I could for Hoaggie but we are here and they are there.. Good bye Somer and Good Bye Bandito...I loved you both.

Well as one can see from my page, we have a new member of the family. His name is Bindu. He just loves me and follows me everywhere. He likes to chew a lot and gets into a lot of things... He has been through a lot...He has a huge scar all down his back and is easily frightened..but we love him anyway. It feels great having a puppy around again, I have not had one since my little Bella.
Mom is training him to be a service dog so he can take over for me since I am going into retirement soon... at least mom thinks so anyway...Bring out my vest and you will see me run...
Well thats about it for now
