Winston has went to Rainbow Bridge

Winston went to Rainbow Bridge on September 6, 2011. He was diagnosed with Kidney Failure in Feb 2011 and had been doing pretty good. He had been having a hard time eating but due to my expanded menu of Arby's Roast Beef and BK hamburgers he was eating. He took a turn for the worst Labor Day weekend and quit eating for 2 days and refused anything and everything I tried. I knew he wasn't going to get better and only worse and didn't want him to starve himself or suffer.
He was my first westie, my once in a lifetime dog and my heart dog. My life will never be the same since picking up that 2 pound westie pup in August of 1996.
He will forever be in my heart.

Haven't written much lately

I haven't kept up with my diary lately at all. I am now retired from all Agility as I will be 13 in June of this year. I have been feeling pretty good. Mom found out last Fall I have A-typical Cushings and I am on flax seed oil capsules, melatonin, Cushings Crusher and another holistic herb pill and it seems to help. I get lab work done the end of this month to see how I am doing.
My Granny came to visit me last weekend. Maggie ran in an agility trial last Fri and Sat. and Granny went with us on Sat. to the trial and we had lots of fun. I wasn't happy that I couldn't run in the trial and barked and barked! I love my Granny and was glad she came to visit us!

We have been busy on weekends!

WOW! Have we been busy on weekends. Every weekend in Sept. Mom and all us pups have done some doggie related activity. The first Sunday of Sept we drove to Purina Farms in MO so ZOOM! could practice earthdog. Then the 2nd weekend we went back to Purina Farms both days so ZOOM! could partcipate in the AKC earthdog test. The third weekend we headed up North to Palatine to visit a westie friend and I got to see my young westie girlfriend, Kate! It was also fun to visit with Pete her westie bro but I really like visiting with Kate! We got to go to the groomers while up there and then Maggie ran at an AKC agility trial that Sat. and Sunday in Crystal Lake. This past weekend we drove down to Glen Carbon, IL each day for Maggie to do AKC agility.
We aren't doing anything this weekend so we can get rested up. It is my turn next- Oct 13-14, 2007 I am running in the TDAA Petit Prix Agility Nationals. I can't wait!

Party time 9/12/07

My Mom doesn't know if but while ZOOM! and Maggie and Mom were at agility class last night. I was partying it up at home!! She thinks I was sleeping the whole time while they were gone. Good thing I got the house cleaned up and everything back in place before they got home so they do not know a thing! BOL!!!

It is suppose to rain here tonight. I do not like storms. I sure hope it doesn't rain. My Mom will have to give me some rescue remedy to chill me out. We are going on a road trip early Sat. morning. My Sis Maggie is running in an AKC agility trial near St. Louis and ZOOM! and I are going along for the ride. Least I will get some good treats out of the deal and get to visit my canine agility buddies. I would like to be able to run at this trial but since I am 11 I am retired my mom says. Oh well, I get lots of treats so I am still happy!

July 19, 2007-This weekend yipeeee!

Mom is taking us to Grannys house this coming weekend! I can't wait! I love my Granny so much! Maggie gets to go to an AKC agility trial but I am staying with Granny while they are gone to it each day. I used to compete in AKC agility but last year Mom retired me. I am now 11 and she didn't want me to get hurt so I just do TDAA (Teacup Dog Agility Association) agility now where the a-frame isn't as tall and I can jump 4 inches. I love agility.
