Arrival Story:
Player was a parvo puppy at a vet clinic I worked for in Miami, FL. He was abandoned and I couldn't resist him so I started taking him home on weekends, eventually it became impossible to imagine NOT having him in my life.

Player was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone-cancer) in March 2004. He had his left front leg amputated and underwent chemotherapy. We recently found that the cancer has spread to his lungs. He was further diagnosed with a condition called hypertrophic osteopathy which is causing swelling and some painfulness in his remaining paws. So far it is manageable with meds. We now know our time with Player is limited and that makes each moment very special. UPDATE: Player and crew have recently moved to England! Yes, our miracle dog keeps making us believe! He did well with the trip, had a few weeks of shaky health but bounced back and is going strong. He starts hydrotherapy tomorrow to help strengthen his remaining legs and keep him fit. He keeps on fighting and we want to help give him the best chance at beating this terrible disease. FINAL UPDATE: Sadly, Player lost his fight on November 10, 2004. I have not had the heart until now to update his profile details accordingly. We miss him so much.
