Arrival Story: In May we had lost our wonderful cockerspaniel pal "Buck". Having lost my best friend of 9 years and having child #2 graduatating from high school; my husband thought I should have a new buddy ASAP. He was pumped about getting an English Bulldog, but after I did some research on the cost of them (sorry), I just had to tell him no. So he kept looking for what he felt would be the perfect dog for our shrinking family. I warned him about getting a puppy, to much work I thought. We only have 3 more years and our house will be empty, think of the freedom. Yes!
Nope, he doesn't want me to be lonely when #3 leaves. So he found the ad for the pug. A pug? Good God, why a pug?
"They look tough and when they mature, they are kind of lazy". So I went with it. Now I have a snuggly pug. He hasn't replaced my buddy Buck, but he is a wonderful new buddy for me. I'm so happy that we found Dink and brought him home, I am certain he is getting more love and attention any dog could possibly want or need.
Forums Motto: Seriously, can I get some food here?
Well if you don't know by now, you must have been under a rock somewhere. I finally worked up the nerve to ask Gabby to marry me. After a few months of chores around the neighborhood, a full time job as a food tester and my part time job of testing new drugs to be marketed, I had enough money to by that huge ring for Gabby. I must say, it was money (and time) well spent. The look on her puggy face and the excitement in the air.... well to say the least was so far the best night of my life. If you get a chance, stop by Gabbys page and check out the bling. I know that she won't expect that stuff all of the time, it would kill me, but I will always do my best to take care of her in a fashion she well deserves. I will always be the king of my life as long as she stays by my side as my queen. Love that Gabby girl! Can't wait for the big wedding, we have so many plans to make!!!!
Oh my, where do I start? Christmas eve morning. All was going well, mom and dad had to finish up a little shopping. We had some bad weather the day before so I wasn't allowed to go with. Dang, I hate when I have to stay home. Any pug... my human sister promised our uncle that she would help with their 4 kids that day so they could finish up their shopping too. Well, with the roads not being to good, my uncle thought it would be best if their 4 kids came to my house. Ok, not such a bad idea I thought. Well, at 11:00 a.m. dad and Lin went to meet them at a half way point (what ever that is) and by 11:30 there were 4 kids ages 10 to 5 running around our house. This is fun, the little ones really like to run, scream and play. Ok so it was fun for about 1/2 hr. After that, those little pistols were really getting under my fur if you know what I mean. OMP, I was pulled, pushed and ridden, yes, ridden. The littlest one thought I was built for riding because I fit under him perfect. Now I don't know a whole lot about these little humans, but I do know that momma tells them to be nice and be careful around me. I don't know why, but she does. Then all of the fuss began when the rest of my daddys family came. All of a sudden there were 10 kids running around this small house of ours. They were hidding in my "crib", oh did momma get mad about that. She made 2 of the boys have a "time out" on the couch, they messed my crib up. After everyone and I mean everyone (all 27 of them) finally arrived, it was time to eat. Dad knew momma was about to go stir crazy with all dem little kids running around and chasing me, so he took me down to my "crib" fixed what the boys broke, and locked me in there for a little while. Ya know what? It was great to be in my crib and have all of those kids leave me a lone for a few minutes. I mean 9 hours with those first 4 kids was more than plenty if you know what I mean. After everyone ate and opened prezzies, then I was allowed to come back out. There was paper every where, and I looked around and those pigs ate everything. There was nothing left, so I boogied out into the garage where everyone ate, just looking for something to be left on the floor. Some of the tables where the little kids sat, I scored! Yesss!!! Some prime rib, a couple of potatoes and carrots. OMP I found a raw carrot and it was delissshhhh.... Ok. So this whole Christmas thing was pretty cool, the prezzies and the food. I think I can handle doing it again specially since momma said I was so good with the kids. I didn't growl or nip even when they were trying to be cowboys. I know that I slept the best I ever had after that long day.
I hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday. Now what is all of the excitement about New Year?????
