Arrival Story:
We brought Daisy home in a box in May of 2000. The decision to bring a dog into our lives had been one that we had carefully thought about. A decision that had taken us almost two years to process because we wanted to make sure we were ready for the changes and responsibilities that would come along with it. I wanted a Basenji and Karen wanted a Pug. After doing some homework I realized that I wasn't quite ready for a Basenji so we went in search for what Karen would term "the perfect Pug". It took several visits to various breeders before we found Daisy and when we saw her, we knew she was the one. She was cute, she was feisty and being the runt of the litter, it made her all that more special. That day would begin a 10 year journey for us that would be full of laughter, tears and love. For me, this would be the first time I would be wholly committed to a dog from puppyhood. We would become Daisy's pack and she never let us forget it.

Bio:
Daisy is aloof, shy with strangers, innately curious and the most picky eater you will find. We are always amazed at what she does and refuses to do. She is highly communicative (much to our chagrin) and doesn't let up when she wants something. She loves to play and run and never seems to run out of energy. Daisy is fearless and all alpha - she was definitely a larger dog in a previous life. When Daisy isn't at day care she is under "house arrest" and spends most of her time eating and sleeping. She allows us to live with her and she reminds us of it on a regular basis.
