Arrival Story:
We were contacted by a shelter where I left my name stating that we were looking for a large older dog to adopt. By the time we heard from them we already had Ben our rescued Anatolian Shepherd living comfortably with us. To make a long story short I said I would go to Vancouver and 'look' at him and needless to say a few hours later I was on a BC Ferry for the Island with Buddy in tow. He had a bad skin condition, very sore hips and stifles and a big healthy smile. We stopped at the Doggy Spa before coming home and he sat all covered in suds with one paw hanging on the side of the tub as if he was holding a martini. After a couple of years of good food, supplements and lots of love, Buddy has done an amazing turn around. It was wonderful to see the fear leave his eyes and watch them soften once he began to trust us. He also has to thank his Brother Ben for teaching him Doggy Rules.
