Arrival Story:
On the 4th of July, myformer fiancee were returning from fireworks and we had to drive through a parking lot to get to the highway. I said, "there's a big black dog over there and he's headed for the highway!" Without thinking I jumped out of the truck and yelled, "Here boy, here Boy!" He came running towards me. My ex-spouse said it was all over after that, it was love it first sight! I brought him home, cleaned him up, fixed his cuts and bruises and then we looked for his owners. Posters, newspaper, no success. We put him in the shelter for 7 days and when no one claimed him my ex said, Go get him, you're driving me crazy about that dog!" and so, we saved him once again. I wasn't sure how I could deal with having a 3rd dog, but he's truly been my best friend ever. He really is sweet and funny. He's my boyfriend, as my ex-spouse used to say.

Bio:
This dog is ruled by his mouth. He loves to eat. In fact, he lives to eat. His other favorite thing to do is trying to convince skunks that he'd like to join them for tea in August and September. he just doesn't get it that the skunks don't wanna be friends! SHUCKS! He's been sprayed so many times I've lost count! He was sprayed twice in one day in fact and currently has skunk face! Toby lost his battle with hip dysplasia and an unknown growth on his stomach on March 29. 2009. He will always be in our hearts! I love you SugarBoy!!!
