Arrival Story:
Etta James (then Clarice) came into the animal shelter that I volunteer at as a stray. I immediately fell in love with her but wasn't looking for a dog . She had so many strikes against her: she's large, a chow mix, and a senior. Day after day it was getting harder to see her in her kennel and have no one interested in her. Finally, one day she received an adoption pending! Her perspective family came in to see her but decided to adopt a smaller and younger dog instead :( That was when I decided that she had to come home with me and be my baby! One of the best decisions I've ever made!

Bio:
Etta James is a senior girl who has the beautiful and soulful brown eyes of her name sake. She loves being pampered and refuses nothing less. She thinks she's a tiny dog and loves to be dressed up in sweaters and booties and try to sit on my lap!
