I'm buying my ticket today. Auguest 3rd, I'll be on a plane to St. Louis to bring Maxx home. It'll be a new home for all of us. Our first home. No more apartment-life for Maxx. No more landlords refusing to rent to me because I have a "vicious" breed. Our own space, our rules, our freedom.

I'll get there on the third and spend that day and the next hanging out with my brother, his family, Maxx and their two new puppies, Sir Maxx and Doc Berry. Then on the 5th, Maxx and I will board a plane and return to Rhode Island andto our new house. It's right next to a huge park, for long walks and swims in the pond. I can't wait to have him home.

How did everything go? We never heard any more about it.
We are used to the Apartment hunting with a GSD. Now we are renting a house and have 2 GSD's. German Shepherds make excellent apartment dogs. They are very calm in the house but need extra walks if they don't have a backyard to play in.
People are nuts. We are so happy for you and your new house. Now that you've been moved in for a couple of years give us the scoop on how everything is going.
We'd love to hear about it!

Hi there. It went well...the move was great. Unfortunately, Maxx became suddenly ill and had to be put to sleep three weeks ago.

Heartbreaking. He was my good boy and I'm still in shock about it. I started a local online dog community magazine, blog, and forum here in Rhode Island in his honor, which has definitely helped me do something positive for Maxx and distract me from the pain.

I fell in love with GSDs and maybe in the spring, I'll be ready to think about expanding our little family.

Oh, my gosh that is terrible news. We are so sorry to hear that. We were not expecting this kind of news at all. Hopefully someday when the time is right you'll find another GSD to share your lives with. They are such wonderful heroes in our small and uninfluential lives. I know my guys give my life such meaning.
We would love to be friends with your family as it expands. Please keep us in mind. We will keep you and Maxx in our prayers. Good luck with your future endeavors.
Love and Light,
Kathleen, Ruby, Duke and Family
