Arrival Story:
Fred came to House of Puddles through basset rescue. He has the shortest legs of any basset here! He is a sweet boy who LOVES bellyrubs! Sadly, Fred went to the Bridge Spring 2008. His momma tried to keep him as long as she could but it was his time to go, and his journey was very peaceful. Fred leaves some pretty big paws to fill.
Bio:
Fred was a permanent resident of House of Puddles, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary for senior and special needs basset hounds and basset mixes in Frederick, Maryland. Since 2002 HOP has provided a permanent, loving home for over 40 hounds from basset hound rescue organizations. HOP's seniors range in age from approximately 10 to 18 years. Some of the health issues our hounds have faced include significant physical deformities, spinal injuries, blindness, deafness, cancer, organ failure, diabetes, arthritis, severe skin allergies, and cognitive, temperament and aggression issues. There are never enough homes for old or sick dogs. HOP helps senior and special needs basset hounds and basset mixes who have no place else to go.
