Arrival Story:
Brandy was our first rescued senior hound and helped inspire House of Puddles. She came to us in 2001 and passed away in 2007. She was a very sweet girl and loved to be petted and hugged. She is greatly missed.

Bio:
Brandy was a permanent resident of House of Puddles until she made the journey to Rainbow Bridge in 2007. House of Puddles, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a sanctuary for senior and special needs basset hounds and basset mixes in Frederick, Maryland. Since 2002 HOP has provided a permanent, loving home for over 40 hounds from basset hound rescue organizations. HOP's seniors range in age from approximately 10 to 18 years. Some of the health issues our hounds have faced include significant physical deformities, spinal injuries, blindness, deafness, cancer, organ failure, diabetes, arthritis, severe skin allergies, and cognitive, temperament and aggression issues. There are never enough homes for old or sick dogs. HOP helps senior and special needs basset hounds and basset mixes who have no place else to go.
