What a wonderful already

Yesterday was a nice day for me and mom. We like to make dogsters and their peoople feel happy, feel good, so we make pictures of our dogster friends.

Yesterday we had the privilege and giving two much-loved dogster Angels their wings and making a picture of them waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for their people. So today we feel good.

Now we're off to give some Beenie hats to new members of the Doggie Connection Beenie-Wienie Club. We hope everyfur has a great day today.

Daily Diary pick

Oh boy, my diary has been picked as one of the daily diaries! I guess I better write something cause I haven't written for 10 days! Mom and I have been pretty busy, getting ready for my human sissy to come and "the boy". He's my playmate whenever we're together. Mom calls him a grandson, whatever that is. I just call him fun! Last Tuesday mom took us to the dog park and "the boy" crawled through the big pipe they have there for us pups to play in. He was dragging the tug-of-war rope behind him; I love that rope. Usually I won't go in the pipe cause it scares me, but I had to go in after my rope! He just laid in the middle of the pipe and I kept running in and out both ends trying to get my rope, but he wasn't lettin go of it! We finally tired of that game so he threw tennis balls for me to run and catch. All in all it was a good day.

The next day mom and sissy packed all kinds of interesting stuff in the car and we went on a really long drive up a big mountain. Mom said we were going to Leavenworth, which is a Bavarian-style town and very cool to walk around in. I say cool cause there was lots of snow there. I love to run and jump in the snow and eat it! And I know the ride was really long cause I was so excited I stood the whole way so I could look out the front window and see all the exciting things. We had to sleep in a strange bed for 2 days, which I didn't like, cause mom was real restless in the bed and wouldn't lay still. I don't think she slept well. While there I had to stay in the room cause they were busy doing things I couldn't do. I did get to go in several stores with mom when we first got there, before we got the room with the bed. I didn't like it though cause there was so many people in the stores and I had to be very, very careful about my tail. There were lots and lots of pretty but breakable things I could knock over and break if I wasn't careful. We finally got home and the next morning mom took me to the dog park again so I could run and stretch my legs, something I couldn't do in that town cause they didn't have a dog park.

Whew! I had a lot to talk about so I'm gonna go rest now, my paws are tired from typing.

At the grocery store at midnight!

Well, mom decides last night (12/4) at midnight that we should go to the grocery store. She said we needed milk. What, it couldn't wait till morning? She had to wake me up to take me? One minute I'm on the warm blankies on the bed and next thing I know she's puttin on my backpack and we're heading out the door. I was grumbling about it being cold outside and why didn't she put my new, warm coat on me and she says we're only gonna be in the car for 2 minutes. Uh huh, I noticed she had her coat on.

So, we get to the store and go in; most of the store people have seen me in there at some point in time. She gets a cart and we start cruisin the store, picking up milk and eggnog and nuts and cottage cheese (that's for me). Then she decides to stop and tells me to sit, which I do, cause I'm a highly trained service dog you know. ;) Not! She tells me to stay and throws the leash over the cart and then walks a few feet away. Wow, she's never done that before. So I sit there lookin at her and thinkin this is new and I probably shouldn't follow her or she would have kept holding on to my leash. Then she comes back and tells me what a good girl I am for staying. Of course I stayed put, the grocery store is scary at night and I wasn't leavin mom alone there, what was she thinkin? Then we go over to the card section, she likes cards, so I sit again. She leaves the leash. I finally got tired and just laid down to wait, I knew it could possibly be hours. But it wasn't, she picked out two cards and then we went to check out. On our way out the door a nice lady starts saying how beautiful I am. All in all, it was a good trip to the store and I love when mommy tells me I'm a good girl!

I love Christmas!!

Wow!! I've been so busy making Christmas pictures for my new friends and my kitty sister that I haven't had time for my diary. That and excerpts from mom's book, "The Dangerous Book for Dogs." You can see those in the group Doggie Connection.

Today I went to a new dog park in Oak Harbor, Wa for a playdate with new friends I met here on dogster. I had soooo much fun running and playing with all of them! I gotta tell ya, though, this one man brought his black lab there and that pup kept running after my friend Toro and humping on him like he was a girl! The man really didn't even try to make his pup be good! The manners (or lack of) that some pups have! Quite frankly, I was embarassed. Toro finally got tired of it and tried to give that pup what for! He got a little excited and carried away (Toro) with what he was tryin to tell that bad pup and his mommy pulled him away! I don't blame him though, I'd be mad too if I was a boy and some other boy kept trying to do those things to me! Hmph! And that's all I've got to say about that!

Well, I'm gonna crawl under the bed and take a long nap cause it was very fun but also very hard work running around with all those pups and having so much fun! Night night! Mom, wake me for dinner, K?

1. I am thankful for my mommy who loves me so much and takes such good care of me.

3. I am thankful for my Auntie Linda, who took care of me for a few months when Icouldn't be with mommy while she was getting the paperwork together to have me in the apartment.

I got SO excited when I got this email from HQ! I ran around in circles, then dropped to the floor and rolled on my back with excitement! It's such an honor to be chosen. It was especially good news cause it's a gloomy, rainy, wet day today and I can't go to the doggie park to chase tennis balls. I told mom I didn't mind a little rain, but she just said no. Jeez, you'd think she was made of sugar or somethin - she's not gonna melt! After all - we do live in a very rainy state! Gotta go - I've got more begging to do!

Here are the 7 things about me!

1. I'm learning to be mommy's service doggy cause she gets sad alot!

2. I'm very picky about my dog food. Mommy puts special things in my breakfast for me but I just get plain food for dinner - so sometimes I don't eat dinner!

3. I went to obedience class, but I still won't come when mommy calls me if I don't want to! bwaaaaa

4. I hate baths!!! So mommy takes me to PetSmart to get groomed. It's OK, they're really nice to me there.

5. Mommy tried to make me wear bright pink toenail caps - but I just wasn't having it! I chewed off the 4 they got on me!

6. I have very lady-like manners when I eat.

7. I love to chase and catch tennis balls at the dog park, but I don't bring them back to mommy. I place them all close together halfway between me and mommy.

Beauty day at PetSmart

Mom took me to PetSmart today for my monthly bath and nail trim. We got there early in the morning and I had to stay there a really long time cause they didn't have an appointment till 2:00pm. Mommy also had these pink rubber nail caps she gave the dogtician to put on my nails. My bath went OK, I don't like baths but the ladies are so nice to me and give me treats so I always try to be good. Then they cut my toenails - I HATE having my feet touched. But the worst part was when they tried to put those plastic nails on me! They got 4 on my one foot and then I said enough! No more of those yucky things!

Then mommy bought me a new toy, the Kong Snugga Wubba. When we got home mommy gave it to me and I took it under the bed (my favorite private spot). Just the other day mom asked me where it was cause she hadn't seen it since we brought it home. I like snuggling with it.
