Arrival Story:
Bentley was on death row at a dog pound. All the dogs who came in with him were taken in by rescues except him. Probably because he was older and had a severe underbite and was blind in one eye. One lady advocated for him and told me about him. We took him in as a foster for the rescue I work with. We fell in love with him and adopted him.

Bio:
His first week here he became deathly ill. He had an upper respiratory infection complicated by a severe heart murmur and collapsing trachea. It was also learned that he was probably about 9 years old. He stopped eating and was hospitalized. 2 weeks later he came back around under some great vet care and has been doing very well. He is on medication for his heart and has the energy of a puppy. God also blessed him with personality from here to eternity. And I realized Bentley had a calling. As soon as his paperwork is in he will begin a career as a Therapy Dog with Therapy Dog International. He'll be visiting local hospitals and nursing homes to bring joy to people!
