Mom forgot to put "not THAT bridge"

Sorry for raising the blood pressures - I haven't crossed that certain bridge that many of our friends have crossed and my sister Weazy crossed earlier this summer. Mommy's so silly! She didn't realize her oops!

What a Weekend! We had visitors!

My cousins came to visit from Kentucky this weekend, one a human and one a pug doggie. His name is Tito, and I'd never met him before. I sicked him when he first got ! here because he tried to sniff me alot and he was licking my mommy's face! Over the weekend I got to know him a little better, but I still didn't like him messing with my mommy!

The human cousin was a pest if I ever saw one. She hogged up Mommy's attention like no one else! Then she'd headbutt me and giggle! I tell you, I'm just not sure about her! Mommy says she's just a little girl and is learning about animals and all, but I don't know. Mommy seemed to really like her, so I guess I do.

The other humans that came were my aunt and my nena. I like them; they scratched my back and gave me treats. My aunt snuck me human food and my nena even gave me coffee to drink! It was sooo yummy! Arrooooo! Mommy didn't like her giving it to me, so she'd sneak it to me. He he he....They all got into that big pool in the back yard today, too, but I would not get in. Even Tito got in! He is crazy!! I steared clear. I don't see the thrill in it honestly! Oh, and Nena went outside alot so I got to go outside alot, too. It was so much fun! I can't wait until they come back in November. We are gonna have a ball!

Over the bridge and through the woods, to Grandma's house we- went

I went to see my grandma on Sunday! I barked and barked when we first pulled into the driveway, but then I heard her voice. I got sooo excited! I thought Mommy was pulling my leg about going to see her, but she was for real! Yippee!

I ran from person to person greeting them and getting petted and scratched and hugged! It was alot of fun. Then Grandma took me to the garage for the grooming part of the visit...Not my favorite, but I was a good girl nonetheless. I squirmed a little when she got near my ears and my booty, but who wouldn't?! Good grief!

Oh, and my mommy got to meet my fur mom and fur dad for the first time. She thinks I'm alot like my fur dad in looks and personality, except I don't talk as much as he does! Arooo! Well, atleast while I'm inside. When I'm in the yard it's a different story.....

On the way home, Mommy stopped at the golden arches for a sandwich and some fries for our lunch. I love some fries, I tell ya! When we got home, I strutted around the yard so all the outside kitties could see my fantastic haircut!

My Surgery's Over

Well, I made it through...Mommy dropped me off the other morning at the doggie doctor. I went to sleep for a little while and when I woke up my tummy hurt! It was all shaved and there are some stitches. I don't know exactly what happened, but I was soooo happy when I saw Mommy yesterday afternoon. I kissed her lots! I rode in her lap all the way home. She gave me yummy steak treats, too! MMMM!

After I got home, she made me eat this yucky pill. Then I started feeling a little loopy. I just didn't care what happened really, but I wasn't really sleepy, ya know? But when we did go to bed, I slept really well!

I felt good enough today to go to daycare! Mommy was quite surprised! It made her happy to see me wagging my nubby lil' tail! So I went to daycare, but they made me take it easy, which was good. I don't want to go back to have my tummy worked on again!

Do What?

Mommy's telling me that I have to eat dinner early tonight because of my tummy surgery tomorrow. I don't have a clue what she's talking about! I'm not sick and I didn't break a leg or anything, so why am I having surgery?

She swears it's for my own good, and that I'll have pain medication if I need it. What??? Pain medication??? I don't think I like the sound of all this! She also said I might not feel good for a few days. So I will feel good going into it, but I won't after coming out? That can't be right! Sounds awfully suspicious to me!

Tomorrow's also the one-month anniversary of my big sister Weazy's crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Time has surely flown. I wish I could've met her. Mommy said she had this "surgery" and she was down for about three days! I heard she was a tough girl, so this is worrisome! Ohhhh, my!

Quick Update

So I've been with my new mommy for about 3 weeks now. It's been great, too! She takes me just about everywhere we go. I even went to work with her one day! I'm going to doggie daycare now while she's at work, and I love it. I get to play with all my little pals there! Some of 'em are really hyper, and I just kind of sit back and watch those. I don't know where they get all that energy!

I'm so tired when I get in the care after daycare. After just a few minutes in the A/C, I crash out in the seat! I can't help it! I've played all day long! Then I get home and run the kitties out of the yard. I love to make them run! And I love it even more when they turn around and hiss at me. I just get so excited when they do that! Sometimes when I'm in the yard, they sneak through the grass, waiting for me to pass unsuspectingly, and they pounce me! It just excites me even more! I love playing that game with them!

Mom's been working on that giant bathtub in the yard lately. She's always doing something in there. I'll run around the outside, but I'm not about to jump in! No way! I'm not even stepping on the first step. Nope. Not gonna do it! I'll watch her all day long, but I'm not joining!

Adjusting to My New Home

Well, I've been with my new mommy for over a week now. I think I like her! She gives me treats, hugs and kisses galore! I even get to ride in the car with her on trips, although she did leave me at home the other day for about 2 hours in my crate. She said the store she was going to didn't allow doggies. Pooh on them! Everyone should allow doggies! She mentioned something about it being a food store, laws, blah, blah. I had tuned out by the end of it!

I was sooo excited to see her when she got back! I jumped into her arms and gave her a big ol' doggie hug and kiss. Then we played outside in the big yard for a while, until it got too hot for us.

I love going outside! Mommy mainly takes me out to make potties, but I get distracted and start running around everywhere. Then I'll see a kitty and chase it out of the yard. Then I'll bark at a neighbor out in his yard. Then Mommy asks if I've made potties yet, and I remember! Oh yeah, that's why I'm out here! Woops! I better go now! She tells me how good I am when I go outside.

I go to doggie daycare when Mommy goes to work during the week. I've started coming out of my shell and playing with the other small doggies there. They're fun! But when I see Mommy I wiggle my little knubby tail and give her big kisses. She's the greatest. I usually sleep all the way home, too.

Oh, my kitty sister, she's quite relaxed. She did smack me the first day I was in my new home, but I think she just had to tell me she's the boss. I don't care. I'll go along with anything just about. She just sniffs me and drinks from my waterbowl. She's cool. I just say hey to her as I'm passing through.

Whew...what an entry. I better relax my paws a bit. I don't want to injure my soft pads...
