I keep talking to people about the fact you're home soon - those that knew when you went in have all said 'oh hasn't it gone fast' no its not - its gone horribly slowly. Its caused pain and tears, but all of this is so going to be worth it when you come home.. when they open those gates and I run as fast as my legs will let me, to come and give you a hug and tell you that I am taking you home. Because in truth no one will ever know what you thought was happening how sad and confused you must of been to have so much love one day and then be alone the next.

I want you to know without doubt that you're coming home to a warm house with everything you could ever want - that long walks and days out are waiting for you. That your family has missed you so much and wanted you home so bad at times it seemed an impossible date to reach.

You're never going to know what it is you mean to me, and that's quite possibly why you mean so much. You give love without question, hope without reason and you are truth without fear. So many smiles, so many kisses, so many hugs!

Dexter.. I keep thinking maybe time will go faster, but it never does.
It seems such a long time till you come home.. I know they're looking after you in quarantine, but I also know you must be wondering what you did that put you there.
You did nothing sweetie, We just loved you so much we HAD to bring you home. I promise when you get out.. such long walks await you.. and you have a little brother to look after and chase around - we know how much you liked playing with other little dogs when we lived in Amsterdam. I want to see you that happy again.
He's so playful too, I'm sure you'll have your arguments, and he's going to wonder where you've appeared from... but Christmas will be magical because of you!

I am so sorry that you've had to go through this and I wish you could understand when I tell you that it all comes from love... we just couldn't of found you another home and left you - even when people where telling us you'd know nothing about it... that it would cost too much money.. I know no one could love you as much as we do.
