Birthday: August 1st 1999 Likes: Sitting on the chair with his man. Pet-Peeves: Not getting attention. Favorite Toy: The plastic bubble he digs out of squeaky plush toys. He loves to toss & chase them. Favorite Food: Steak. Favorite Walk: Rambling around the yard, or down the street with his man. Best Tricks: Standing on his back legs for long periods of time. Arrival Story: I'd wanted a dog for a long time, so on my birthday about 5 years ago, we went to a no-kill shelter to see who was there. My husband was immediately charmed by Boo's deep, intimidating WOOF, the bark of what you would guess is a much larger dog. We slept on it, but we knew Boo was our dog! When I returned to the shelter to pick him up, he was in a crate just inside the door and rolled over for a belly rub as soon as I walked by. He was frightened on the long ride home, but soon learned he would love his new home. I left him alone for a few hours and returned to find the stuffing from several old stuffed animals strewn about my living roon; that was how we discovered they were his favorite toys.
Boo lived in S FLA with my sister and her husband, 2 wonderful kids 2 sweet labs for a brief time, which is where he received his nickname Boo Bear. One of Boo's new playmates there, my 3-year-old nephew Hunter, would say ,"Love (the female Lab) is a girl, Rocky (the male Lab) is a boy, and Boo is a bear!" Boo loved it there, but he seems quite happy running in his own acres of yard here outside of Nashville, chasing deer and rabbits and howling with the other dogs in the neighborhood when a fire truck goes by.
