Bella's Story!

Hello!

Oh boy! I just joined dogster this week! Mom and I have been on Indypaws.com for about a month now, it's a site for animals in Indiana, and it's awesome! Anyhow, I thought I'd start one of these diaries now.

My name is Bella, and I'm 10 weeks old! I just went to the vet on Saturday to get my 2nd set of shots. I was fine until I took a nap a few hours later, then I was just SO SLEEPY! I tried to stay awake and sit with mom and dad on the couch but I just couldn't, so mom put me back in my bed. When I woke up, I was good as new! I also got weighed, and I weigh 6 whole pounds!

Well anyhow, from the beginning: You probably saw on my page the picture of me being held by my grandpa when I was just a day old. That's cuz grandma and grandpa were the breeders of my litter. Mom picked me out that day, the day after I was born. She liked me because I was different. The other 5 puppies in the litter are black-headed tricolors, and I turned out to be the only sable puppy. So everybody loves me!

Mom and I are staying at Jellystone campground over the summer. Our Jellystone is made up of about 1300 lots, with nearly 1200 of them permanent spaces that people own. So it's kind of like our own little gated community, only we live in a camper :) So we go on walks every day, and I get to see lots of people! And dogs!! It is so much fun!

So far, both of my brothers and one of my sisters have found new families, and they all have lots at Jellystone too! So on our walks sometimes, we get to stop and see them! My sister, Roxie, lives so close to us that I get to see her almost everyday! And there is a lady in the park that is still trying to convince her hubby to let her get a puppy. She's been begging for over two weeks! If she does get one of my sisters, I'll get to see her almost every weekend too! That would be so cool! And there's even one of the puppies from my doggie-mom & dad's last litter here too! His name is Buddy. Mom got to see him today, and his new family said he is such a good boy! See Buddy is a year old, and he used to live with mom's Uncle. But a few weeks ago he decided he could no longer keep Buddy, which actually turned out best for Buddy. This new family adopted him, and they have 2 kids for him to play with, and a cat (who apparently doesn't like him lol). They also have like 2 golf carts and a boat! He is so lucky! His new mom and dad even let him sleep with them!

Mom and I are having so much fun together! We go visit dad (he lives an hour away!) on the weekends, but sometimes he comes here. We go to the pet stores, and once I even got to visit mom's work with her on her day off! That Jane lady was really nice! Mom taught me how to sit, and we're learning how to lay down, stay, give, and be quiet! I love my mom!!!
