Mommy Smells

Sad news - our cat brother Chewtoy has arrived at the bridge. That nasty cancer finally did him in. But we are so proud of him. He really gave it a good fight.

We were delighted to be reunited with him again but know Mommy is devastated. Raffles and Maleka and I were over the moon because Chewie still had Mommy smells on him when he arrived. We all slept with him that first night and took him to the wishing star so he could look in on Mommy and Quigley and Priscilla. We go there every night just to blow kisses to Mommy. Sometimes we see her on the back porch looking up at us and we're pretty sure she catches a few of our kisses.

Grandma lives upstairs from Mommy now and she has early dementia and smokes so we know Mom is facing a lot of stress right now. Mom hopes that Grandma will forget that she smokes. We're going to try and pull some strings and work on that. Hang in there Mommy.

Gotta run. Big party today. Raffles and Pongo are in charge of entertainment today and won't give me any details. That worries me. But Ariana and Cleo said Stryker and his pals are at the ready so that's a relief. Everyone is so anxious to welcome Chewie. They will fall in love with his big blue eyes. Raffles is being goofy and telling pups that Maleka and Chewie are twins from different fathers. I don't know what goes on in that boy's brain.

Everyone welcome - cats and dogs alike - please come to the party.

Birthday Boy

Maleka, Chewtoy and I have our work cut out for us tonight. Today is Monkey Face's (Raffles) birthday, and we all know how that boy likes to party. He and his possee will want to paint the town. We remember what happened last year. At least we were able to destroy all the incriminating photos from last year's party, but we had to cash in a few favors. Luckily this year our numbers have increased because Chewie is here. One more body to help keep the insanity in check. We've come up with a better plan this year thanks to Chewie and his new cat friends and all of our friends.

So let's get this party started, the little guy is ready to roll.

And remember this year, cameras will be checked at the door.

It's My birthday Again

Wow time really flys up here at the Bridge. It's my birthday again. I forgot all about it. Apparently there's a party today for me. Boy did they keep that a secret for awhile. I bet Maleka had to sit on Raffles so he wouldn't blab. They told me this morning. I knew something was up when Raffles came in with cake frosting on his chubby little face. Princess Ariana and the gals are busy baking. It smells marvelous. Everyone is invited. It should be a fun day.

I can't believe its' been so long since I've written in my diary. I just get so caught up in the business (Flying Paws) and keeping Raffles in line is a full time job. Thankfully I have Maleka to help me.


I always get weepy on my birthday remembering Mom and the great times we had together. She always said I was the love of her life and she is mine. I know one day we will cuddle together again.

Another Mother's Day without my Mom's loving caresses. But all the love she sends up to me heals my heart. I know Mom is still hurting. I was her best girl.

Hang in there Mom - one day we will be together again.

Kudos for being Mom to those two Bostonians. They look like a handful.
