Looks like little Ronnykins finally found a home, too. It's tough to be the last one left, but we knew he wouldn't last for TOO long in the shelter.

...is that last of his litter to be adopted! Hermione, Fred, & George were snapped up real quick!

There's gotta be a terrier lover out there who's looking for a new puppy...

Today there were several people asking for Shih Tzu pups at the shelter. Poor Ron is so obviously a terrier that he couldn't be passed off for anything but, unlike his litter mates!

Dearest Dogster Pups

We are sorry for not writing in our diary sooner! The life of a puppy is very busy, ya know. We had a fun 3 1/2 weeks in our foster home. We slept in a pool with lots of blankies and surrounded by fun toys. We played in our water dish. We climbed all over Momma Wiggles. Some of us braved the steps, some of us looked pityingly up at FM to carry us instead. We all enjoyed much cuddle time. We loved to explore outside, and Hermy even led an escape party by being the first one to shimmy under the gate... Big Boy was the only one that didn't fit. FM quickly rounded us up, but it sure was an adventure. We graduated from eating canned food mixed with moistened dry food, to just moistened dry food, to just plain dry food. We got our back molars in and exercised our jaws on FM's fingers, our toys, Momma Wiggles, and each other. We barked and whined and cried together whenever we wanted to come out of our corral. Big Boy even had to get medicine for dermatitis, and several baths because he sat in poop. The rest of us remained very healthy puppies. Yesterday, our FM took us back to the shelter. She put ID bands on us and we waited for our turn to have surgery. At first it seemed like we were all fine. But Big Boy was the last one to be done, and when he was put back into our cage for recovery, it was observed that he was not breathing. The vet crew tried to revive him but it was too late for our precious Big Boy. FM was very upset to hear this news because she loved Big Boy a whole lot. He was a sweetheart and was always up for some cuddle time. His death is one of those odd tragedies that no one knows why it happened.

We are very sad to be cut down to a litter of four under such circumstances. Our FM says we'll all go to new homes soon, though. But in the meantime, none of us, including FM, will forget Big Boy and his wonderful, calm personality and his round little belly. FM says he had the cutest puppy face that you just wanted to coo at for hours.

Ron, Hermione, Fred & George.
