She "sits pretty" (on her haunches) for treats... She can also howl just like a wolf/coyote!!
Arrival Story:
Chiquita was rescued from an animal hoarder's house where she, her Mom, her brother and 47 other dogs were being keep in ONE room. They were never let out and had very little one-on-one human contact. When she first came to live with us, if you picked her up she would "freeze" like a statue. She also bit my husband 2 times (not severely), because the animal hoarders that had previous abused her were 2 men -- it has taken him a long time to earn her trust - but they now love each other! Now she is a loving and sweet dog, who loves to play, go for walks, car-rides (one of her fav things - especially to the Chihuahua Meet-ups at the Dog Park) and be pampered. She still gets frightened if she hears a strange and/or loud noise, but she recovers her nerve much more quickly, than before. P.S. Her Mom and Brother were also adopted by other loving families from the rescue organization.

If you look thru the pics you will find pics of Chiquita's Real Mom (Sunshine - Chihuahua), Chiquita's Real brother (DeMarco - Long haired Chihuahua), Chiquita's adopted cousins (Missy - Sheltie), (Toby - Yorkie) and Chiquita's boyfriend, or so she likes to think so (Taco - Large White Chihuahua). I have also added some of Chiquita's friends who don't yet have their own Dogster Page, they include: Chiqui (Teacup Fawn Chihuahua) and Kennedy (Teacup Blue-Gray Chihuahua)
