The dreaded suitcase !

Today is a very sad day in my world. I saw the suitcase.....the great big black one.....whenever Mom and Dad get that one out of the attic, someone is going away for very long time.....

The day started out just wonderful. Mommy got up early, she walked me, fed me and we played fetch for avery long time....I thought she was just getting up because I had to go out, but no, she had stuff to do. She was putting all of Daddy's stuff in a basket. Now this was different, so I started removing the socks and underwear as quickly as she could fold them and put them back in the basket :)))

Then it happened.....Dad brought down that suitcase and I got immediately sad. Mommy then packed up Daddy's clothes and told me that he was going on a trip. I love my Daddy as he is very cuddly and likes to take me for my long walks in the morning. He is a lot more patient with my newest habbit....chasing birds.

The good news is that its only Daddy this time. Mommy and brother will stay behind so they can tend to my every need :)))) Now I will have to have shorter walks and Mom will definitely not tolerate any bird chasing on my part !

Oh well....its only for a week and Mommy says its for a good cause. Daddy is going to help build houses in Mississippi for hurricane relief with a bunch of teens from the Diocese. I can't argue with that. I am sure that there is at least one or two dogs out there waiting to move into a new home with his/her family.

Bunnies and Ducks !

Today was an exciting day....after sleeping most the morning, I was awakened by 3 mallard ducks playing in the puddles in my back yard. I barked and barked until they left. How dare they invade my territory. Don't they now that those are MY PUDDLES !

After I annoyed by brother he let me have roam of the house. I tried very hard to refrain from the trash cans but it is quite difficult. Paper is just so intrigng. While brother was taking a nap, I helped myself to the entire contents of the bathroom trash...needless to say......the baby gait was closed and brother put on that nasty bungy cord contraption.

After napping some more, I was awakened by a bunny hopping across the deck. The bunny was quite intriged by my beauty and did not seem the least bit afraid of me. Imagine that. We had a very long staring contest, which I won, and the bunny finally bored hopped away.

That was way too much excitement for me. And after playing toss with brother I retreated to my bed for another long nap....

I love summer !!!

Its summer time and my boy is home with me all day!!! No more of that yellow bus coming to pick him up in the morning!!!

This morning we played and I wrestled him to the ground. Every morning we roll on the floor together and I practice my wrestling moves. I pin him down and lick his face until he gives up. This morning, he was extra grumpy so I made sure his face was really, really wet ! That got him in a better mood.

Mom is home too which is extra fun. There is always someone to play with and give me a rub on my tummy. This morning we went for a drive in the car and I got to put my head out of the roof. One of my favorite things to do. Mom says, I can't do that later cause it will be way too hot!

Today I plan on chasing my football, playing tug of war with brother and then sleeping for the rest of the day.
