Arrival Story:
My Husband and I were on vacation in my home town of Virginia Beach, VA and we were visting our really good friends when we noticed Frankie peaking through the glass door at us. We both said how cute is that dog we should take a picture of him since we had never seen a wirehair dachshund before. Our friends replied " don't take a picture take him home with you." Frankie who was 9 months at the time was originally meant for an elderly couple but the husband passed away and the wife no longer wanted frankie and they asked our friend if she wanted Frankie and since she does animal resue she without a doubt said she would take him. However, she already had two other dachshunds, two huskies, and 2 other rescue dogs and Frankie needed to go to a home that was a little less hectic. The rest is history!
