I Behaved Myself

What a wonderful day. My big sister Callie had her birthday today and she loved her party. Thank you all for coming. I got into a bit of trouble this morning for spilling the beans to her about the party. I just couldn't contain myself any longer. Come on, I kept the surprise party a secret for weeks. I think I did pretty good.

So was it my imagination or not that certain someones were watching me so I wouldn't embarass myself. Well I just wanted to say "well done". I was the perfect host today and if I do say so myself acted very respectfully. I may have eaten too many squirrel cookies but Sadie and I were seeing who could scarf down the most. We love squirrels.

So thanks again my friends, you made Callie's day. She's such a sweet girl, I'm glad she tolerates me.

Love you Mom - Don't worry, I'm watching over my two sisters, Callie and Maleka and our Cat brother Chewtoy.

Hey Guys,

It's my birthday again. The gang is already in the kitchen working on fixings for the Birthday barbeque. Everyone's invited - it's in the valley behind Flying Paws. Lots of food, games and big fun.

See you there.

P.S. Love you Mom - don't be sad - We had 10 wonderful years together. You are always in my heart.

P.S.S. KJ, Rain, Kiska, Banjo & Greta - thanks for the party hat - I'll wear it with pride.

Quigley, Quigley, Quigley

Mom took brother Quigley to the Northeast Dog Parade this weeknd. She thought the parade would be a little too much for him as he's kind of timid around people he doesn't know and hasn't been around many dogs so they went to the gathering afterward.

Mom thought this would be a good time to let him sniff a few butts and say hi. Well the crowd was big and the little guy was a little intimidated. I do have to give him credit he did try, and sniffed a few lovely lasses, but then it got a bit much for him and he asked Mom to pick him up. The way he tells it, he stepped on a rock and had a lame paw but eyewitnesses spin a different tail.

He was one happy pup to be back on his own turf. I think it was the giant wolfhound who freaked him out. He was a handsome fellow. Not as handsome as yours truly but almost.

It's so much fun being up here able to see everything that's going on down there. I love it.

P.S. Mom - Hugs from me, Callie, Maleka and Chewtoy

It's A Family Affair

Wow, Dogster in their infinite wisdom has bestowed me with a diary pick of the day. My brother Quigley was also a diary pick this week. I guess our gabbiness runs in the family. So if I work it right I should get a lot of bones out of this.

Have a wonderful day my friends. It's going to be gorgeous.

P.S. Ladies at the Bridge - if you want to give me a congratulary kiss, we'll be at the bone bar at Noon.

Sweet Lennox has arrived

We have all been watching and praying that "certain" people in Ireland would come to their senses and release Lennox to his family. It was not to be. Ignorant people made the choice based on how this sweet dog looked to assume he was something he was not and put him to death. When Lennox arrived at the Rainbow Bridge every dog was on hand to welcome him into our family. We can't explain to him why this happened because none of us understand it either but we will just give him our love and friendship until some day he will be reunited with his family. We showed him how he can look down and see his family which helped heal his heart. So he's settling in and deciding which part of the bridge he'd like to settle in. We just want to tell Lennox's family that he's watching from above and will be here when it's time for you to meet again. He's among friends.

We all know that there are so many amazing, caring people like our families who love us and thankfully these ignorant people are in the minority, but when they hold the strings bad things like this still happen. This needs to change.

Now that I have that off my chest, it's time to go back to work at "Flying Paws". Callie says I goofed around too much yesterday with Pongo and Stryker, so she's making me pull my weight today. I've been typing like crazy already.

Chewtoy and Maleka (the blue eyed twins with different mothers)are organizing a picnic today. Only blue-eyed critters get to attend. What's up with that. The girls (Callie and Arianna) have made them an amazing cake which I have been salivating over so I might try to sneak in to the picnic if I can find some blue contact lenses. Of course they are watching me like a hawk, so trickery will need to be used.

Have an amazing day.

Priscilla and Quigley are the Best

Wow, it has been forever since I've written in my diary. Callie, Maleka, Chewie and I are always busy. But no matter how busy we get we always take time to go to the lookout at least once a week and look down through the clouds and check up on Mom.

Priscilla and Quigley are doing a great job of looking after Mom and Grandma. That comforts me and my sibs. We know Mom misses us something fierce but now she has P & Q to take care of and spend time with and she's happy again.

I see Mom had a four day weekend. I bet P & Q were over the moon and probably are so tired out they're napping right now. P & Q would love to go for walkies like Callie, Maleka and I used to do but Mom is in her 60's now and her knees are giving her trouble so they do their exploring and running in the yard and occasional walks after a vet visit.

Want to do a shout out to all our friends on Memorial Day. Happy Memories.

Oops gotta run Pongo, Stryker and the gang are here and we are getting things ready for the barbecue this afternoon. Everyone's invited.

Ladies - I'll be the handsome stud with the apron that says - kiss the cook.

Quigley Did Good

Well my little brother was bestowed with the honor of Dogster "Dog of the Day". We were jumping for joy up here. Having his little face on the community page all day - what an honor. He's not as handsome as yours truly but the ladies seem to like him. The little monkey face was over the moon and Mom was very proud. Priscilla will take care of things if he starts to get the "big head".

Atta Boy Quigley!

Wow, this is going to be the best pawty yet. Rosie and Cookie are going to make a fabulous cake. Thank you ladies, I know I'll love it. I've heard from pups and puss's too and there's going to be a lot of cakes and biscuits and things yummy.

Maybe we'll get so many cakes we'll have a cake walk. I love those. I remember what happened last time. I jumped for the spot and went splat. Luckily I don't have far to fall with my short legs. Pongo and I haven't given up our dream to stretch our legs so we can go on the Husky walk this winter with Maleka. We think we grew at least a half an inch. Okay Maleka I see you smirking. A guy can dream.

Gotta run, more pawty preparations.

Pawty Time Again

This summer is the best. Can you believe it's time for another big pawty. Labor Day weekend. We're thinking about a two day pawty this time. Play a little volleyball, leapdog, sleep on the beach, catch the morning waves, great food, dog watching. It will be awesome.

Everybody welcome as always, dogs, cats, whatever. We love meeting new friends.

The girls are already planning the cakes. Stryker, Pongo and I have appointed ourselves official spoon lickers. We love to help. Ariana, Callie and Maleka just roll there eyes when I say that.

See you there.

Yoo Hoo - a diary pick of the day

I am truly honored. Dogster has bestowed upon me, a diary pick of the day honor. I was speechless which Callie says hardly ever happens. Mom always said I had the gift of gab.

This coming right after my fabulous birthday party is just so amazing. What a fun filled week. Callie and Maleka are afraid I'm going to get the "big head". No worries, I have several sizes of hats.

Thanks Dogster. You made my day.
