Arrival Story:
We already had 3 bassets and were looking for a bloodhound. We found one on petfinder.com. Duke was in Phoenix (and we were in CA). Paw Placement is a rescue group that operates through Petsmart. We were cleared to adopt him, so we drove to Phoenix to pick him up.

Bio:
Duke was supposedly a stray in Phoenix who was picked up by a vet and fostered. He is a giant marshmellow. Although he weighs over 100 pounds he wouldn't ever hurt anyone. He is very mellow for being a stray, but he does love to eat! He recently bloated and thank goodness was able to be saved. We don't know what we would do without him. It seems as if we have had him forever!
