Arrival Story:
We had just moved to CA and found out that we could have another dog. So we looked at Mid America Basset Hound rescue site and saw Ozzie. He looked pathetic with his one eye! So we called them up and arranged to get him transported to NM where we would go and get him.

Bio:
Ozzie is very needy. I think it comes from having 5 owners in his first year and a half of life. He lost his eye because he was sprayed in the face with a high pressure air or water hose when he was 8 weeks old. An ulcer formed and none of his owners took care of it. By the time he went into rescue the eye was dead, so they took it out and put in a spacer. It doesn't slow him down at all though! But because of him we said that we would never adopt a basset under age 5 again! He has been a handful, but we love him dearly!
