Pass the Poison Ivy - This entry is for Nancy Cone - sorry it's been so long ; )

I know it's been forever since the last entry. Regan and family are doing great. Regan still loves her daily walks and rough housing with the cat. Luckily Pumpkin is as much like a dog as a cat can get. They are great companions.
Regan who is now two years old has grown into quite the little lady. She is not as fearless as she once was and is now calm enough to cuddle with me on the couch. She's turning into my old Gabby girl and I love that!
Regan has been able to go up and down the stairs since last June. She 's very skilled at the stairs, unless she has a big stuffed toy. The toy complicates the process and many times gets left behind.
On our daily walks I sometimes take Regan near the grape vinegard behind our subdivision. Usually we stay on the path. Needless to say we did not. The next morning I had a "rash" on my face. The only thing I can think of would be Regan passing the poison ivy and me hugging her that night. Nathan asked me if I had "made out" with her like I always do. Since going to the doctor, the posion ivy which is all over my face has calmed down a bit since the cortisone shot and the cortisone lotion. No more walks off the subdivision sidewalks.
Regan had a bath this afternoon and is quite the fluff ball. She puffs out and then the fur calms down. She is very happy when the baths are done and runs around the house like a mad woman. She is contentlychewing her new bone with her head resting on her bed.

Graduation Day & Puppy Day Care

Regan is doing so well and getting so big! I'd say she's about 25 lbs now. Now that she's walking for us we go on long walks around the neighborhood. We had a breakthrough with her walking last weekend :). She has now graduated from Puppy Obedience & Intermediate Obedience classes. She was definitely the ham of the class. She loves to play and interact with the other dogs. Not a mean bone in her. She had some trouble concentrating, but I think that's only because she wants to play and she's so smart she gets bored easily. She knows all of her commands but might choose to pretend she doesn't - unless you have food.

Regan started day care last Friday at her obedience school and LOVED it. She actually gave me a hard time when it was time to go. She loves all of the trainers at day care too. It's a great way to have her socialize and vent all that Corgi energy. The lead trainer told me that she was such a great dog when I picked her up, not a single issue.

We've definitely lucked out to get such a wonderful little Corgi. From my Gabby to Regan, I know that the breeder has done such a wonderful job with breeding Corgi's with a great temperment. So happy.

I can climb stairs!

I have finally conquered those looming stairs going to Mom & Dad's room. That's where Pumpkin the cat likes to hang out. I just can't wait to herd him around and bark, bark, bark. Poor Pupmkin can't hide up there now. If I could just figure out how to get down.....

to be continued...
