As a 7 week old puppy his biggest needs are play and sleep!

Pet-Peeves:
He's not thrilled with the crate. He likes to be in the middle of everything.

Favorite Toy:
We are trying to limit his toys so he isn't overwhelmed. Right now it's his Nyla-bone.

Favorite Food:
He is only being fed one type of puppy chow.

Favorite Walk:
Bodie hasn't gone out of the yard yet but he LOVES to bounce all around it.

Arrival Story:
Bodie is our long awaited pup. After Striker's death we knew that we couldn't have life without a dog. We wanted another yellow Lab and waited to get one from Striker's breeders. He is a typical puppy...full of energy and adventure. He will bring us lots of joy and will help to heal our broken hearts.

A Little Bit About Me

wow where has time gone?

Well I'm a big boy now....turned 3 on May 1st. I've been doing some field training and now I am
SH Rhumbline's Bodie Island Light JH. Yup got my two "junior level" titles. Now I have to get mom to work really hard with me so I can go to the next level.

Mom retired in June 2009 so we got to go traveling in our camper this past Winter. they claim I had fun in Key West but I think it was too hot. thank goodness our house on wheels has AC!
I am very happy when we go to campgrounds that have doggie play areas. They have room to run and some have agility equipment to try to.

So life is good for the Bodster. Mom says I'm a big mush,.couch potato and a really good boy.
I love my family too.

What's New With Me

It's been a while since mom wrote about me. So guess it's time to tell about my tests.
In April I ran my first trial. Mom was nervous but I did great. So now I have a big fancy blue ribbon and REALLY IMPORTANT pink papers that says I have 2 passes towards my HRC starter retriever title.
Then in June I ran again...this time AKC so now I have an orange ribbon and 2 passes for my AKC Junior Hunter Retriever title.
Mom and Dad say we're taking it easy and getting the rest sometime.

Mom just retired last week so she and I are starting to walk in the mornings...,BEFORE my breakfast....what's up with that?
Says she needs to get in shape but why do I have to go? Just kidding...I love it.

So that's it for me....training on some weekends, competing and just being a couch potato. What a life.

Getting Ready

So on April 25 and 26th mom and dad are running me in my first hunt test. It's HRC so the rules are different from what mom and dad have been practicing. They have been practicing seasoned and finished levels with some of "momma Sue's" [breeder] dogs too. Mom says there's so much more to think about when you add the gun to it!

Stay tuned to see how I (we) do.
