We had lived in Florida for almost two years, and my dad finally couldn't wait for a Basenji any longer. My mom had broken down the previous year and instead of waiting for a Basenji puppy to be ready, she found a JRT mix puppy. My dad's heart was still set on a Basenji...and he found one in the papers. When he went to look at him, it was love at first sight. Simeon shared 8 years with mom and dad and even though he had a love/hate relationship with me (biting me in the face and hands) he loved my father and was his heart dog. RIP Simeon...I hope you're waiting on the bridge for dad.
