We where tagged her are our 7 pawsome facts:

1.) We are all very close in age except for Bob Tubby and Norbert are a little more then a year apart and Norbert and Ping are less then a year apart.
2.) We all love to ride in the car. We get into our doggie seatbelts and we all pile in the back seat, we like to sit on top of eachother.
3.) We do almost everything together: dog park, car rides, store trips. Ping gets to go some places the rest of us cant because she is so small she fits in a carrying bag and Norbert likes to go hiking with mom and dad which is not something the rest of us are intersted in.
4.) We all snore except for Norbert (branchiocephalic breeds are big snorers) but Norbert kicks his feet and sometimes make noises like he is talking in his sleep.
5.) We all know tricks sit, stay, lie down, hi five, roll over: except for Ping who doesnt do tricks only sit.
6.) We always get dressed up for halloween and we try to have coordinated costumes. One year before Bob came we where a wizard, a dragon, and a princess. This year Bob and Norbert are going to be a cop and a prisoner and Tubby and Ping are going to be sailors.
7.) We all get along great! No pack problems here (unless there is a pig ear involved!)

Beach Trip!

Momma and Daddy took personal days from work today (naughty hee hee) and took us all to Island beach state park. It was a hour and a half drive but we all love the car so we didn't mind. The only draw back was Bob gassing up the back seat! None of us had ever seen the ocean before, so it was pretty exciting. Ping was afraid of the waves at first and wouldnt go anywhere near them. Once she saw the birds though she had fun running at them and barking. Bob seemed to enjoy eating sand and lying down by the dunes. Norbert and Tubby where the braves and walked right up into the surf. We had fun sniffing seashells and walking in the tall grass. It was hard work walking through the sand and we were pretty tired when we got back to the car. It was fun though and we can't wait for our next adventure.

We had such a nice Thanksgiving! Mommy cooked a big meal for us and daddy and our grandparents. We had Turkey, Gravy, Mushroom Stuffing, Spinach Gratin, Sweet Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Pecan Pie, and Pumpkin Triffle. Mommy gave us a tiny little bit of everything. Then we went for a nice long walk to brun of all the calories. We cant wait to see what we have for Christmas Dinner!

We had a great Christmas. Mommy and Daddy have been home since Christmas Eve and are not going back to work until after new years! So they can play with us all day. We had a real tree for the first time this year, in our apartment we used to have a little silver tree, and mommy is so proud of how good we have been we haven't chewed it or broken a single ornament. We also got lots of presents of course, all together we got:
1.) A loofa dog santa
2.) A santa rope toy
3.) A squeeky teddy bear
4.) A naughty and nice snow man with a rattle and a squeeker
5.) A set of squeeky rubber Christmas toys
6.) A package of chicken jerky treats from Trader Joe's
7.) A package of pig ears
8.) A ginger bread man rope toy
9.) A mouse pull toy

Our cat brothers and sister got:
1.) A cat toy stocking from Pet smart with a bunch of toys
2.) Pounce cat treats
3.) Cat nip
4.) Trader Joe's tuna for cats

For dinner we had: ham, brussel sprouts, potatoes au gratin and apple crisp. Mommy wouldn't let us have the deviled eggs or cranberry sauce because she didnt think it would be good for us, but it was a very yummy Christmas dinner. Merry Christmas!

Our lovely bully friends Lilly and Ringo helped organized a bully beach day at
Sandy Hook beach on Sunday. At first mommy was only going to bring Bob and Norbert, but when it was time to leave it really looked like Tubby and Ping wanted to go. We had a great time. It was really fun to see the big mob of bulldogs (two frenchies too) and of course pugs and one big mystery mix running down the beach. Everyone was really well behaved and we had a great time!

A New Buddy for us From Adopt A Buddy Pug Rescue!

Mom and Dad volunteered for adopt a buddy pug rescue a while ago and yesterday after everything checked out we got our first foster. Bingo is an 11 year old fawn pug and is very very sweet. He has had a hard life and has marks on his neck probably from being tied up. The couple who were watching him short term brought him over last night and Mommy was really nervous that we would act out. We didnt do that at all. We were very well behaved and took to Bingo right away. Bob in particular really likes Bingo and the feeling is mutual they even try to play together but mommy has to make sure that Bob is gentle.
Bingo's story is very sad because he has cancer, tumors in his tummy, and is terminal. He is in no pain and the vet said he could have a month or as long as 2 years. Adopt a Buddy is going to try to find him a permanent home but with him being such a sick baby it isnt too likely. We are going to try to make his remianing time as happy as possible by making him a part of our fun loving and fantastic pack!

Dogs are Forever!

As many of you know a stray dog followed dad home on sunday while he was walking us. She is a super sweet brindle and white pittie girl about a year old. Mom and Dad walked her all around the neighborhood on one of Tubby's leashes but nobody recognized her. It killed mom to do it but she brought her into the local humane society becuase she didnt know if the pup was healthy or not and no vets where open and mom cant let us get sick. Mom is not giving up on this dog though and even though she is a stray she has a big advocate in her corner. Mom is determined to find this girl a home! Right now she is named Lilly and she is in holding at the liberty humane society waiting to be put up for adoption. Mom visited her there on monday. The people there are trying there best but it is a sad place. Mom cried for 2 hours after seeing those dogs who had been abandoned. She just does not understand it if you cant take care of a dog and dont really want one then dont get a dog! Yes there might be some circumstances where a family loses there home, but most of the time people are just lazy and treat pets like they are possesions to be tossed out when they tire of them. Disgusting! Anyway Lilly is going to get a home we are determined! She will have a dogster page soon and flyers all over town in all the vets offices, dog runs, and pet stores, and be listed on all the rescue listings mom can get her on. Mom is going to visit her every week at the shelter and she is such a sweet girl we hope she will get adopted quickly.

Another thing thats really sad is that even on dogster a place that is supposed to be for the love of the dog people are abandoning or rehoming their dogs and often for flimsy reasons. It just makes us so sad. Dogs are for life and every dog deserves a wonderful and loving home like the one we have. If you cant provide that kind of home for a dog please dont ge tone. Dogs are not an impulse item.

New Sister

Mom and dad brought home a new sister for us! Her name is Dr. Zira and she is a 9 year old brussels griffon. We took to her right away, not even any growls. She is pretty quiet like our foster brother Bingo and likes to sleep a lot. She does get feisty when someone walks by the house though, and sometimes she chases the cats! Mom and Dad are trying to make her stop doing that. Zira has kidney disease and mom and dad are doing a lot to keep her well, we all hope she is with us for years to come.

Fantastic news about our feline brother Ernie!

Dad dropped Ernie off at the vet today to get an ultrasound of the heart and an EKG, Ernie has a heart murmur and has been on a 1/4 tablet of altenlol for a long time. Anyway the ekg and the ultrasound basically showed that Ernie's heart was normal! Our new vet was very nice and explained it all to mom. Ernie's heart murmur may have been the result of all the trauma he experienced as a kitten what with having his leg amputated. Mom gets to take Ernie off altenlol but he has to be weaned of slowly. We are all excited to hear that Ernie might have a nice long life ahead of him.

Mom just found out that Lily the stray pitbull that Daddy found while he was walkign us gave birth to four puppies. Lily is at the liberty humane society in jersey city. She is one of the sweetest doggies mom has ever met and a beautiful little pitbull. The shelter has had parvo outbreaks and is no place for young puppies. Mom has emailed lots of rescue groups to try to help Lily but she is really hoping someone on dogster might be able to help Lily and her pups.
